Hot chicks and kewl designs, but what the hell is it about?

Granted it could have changed by now, but I saw this on Wikipedia:

In February 2009, Snyder released a short synopsis of Sucker Punch which states: "Set in the 1950s, it tells the story of Baby Doll (Browning), who is trying to hide from the pain caused by her evil stepfather and lobotomy. She ends up in mental institution in Brattleboro, Vermont and while there she starts to imagine an alternate reality. She plans to escape from that imaginary world but to do that she needs to steal five objects before she is captured by an unknown adversary. She has 5 days to escape before being lobotomized. In order to cope with the situation, she enters the hyper-real world of her imagination, and the lines between reality and dream begin to blur. She is joined with friends who are inmates from the institution. Lessons learned in the said fantasy world could help the girls escape their real-world fate."

This is one of few movies that I would like them to make in 3D.

It won't be in 3D. Zack didn't shoot it that way, and after making Legends of The Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole with the actual 3D process he's refusing to let Warner Brothers retrofit Sucker Punch into 3D ala Clash of The Titans and The Last Airbender. And thank God. That stuff blows and usually just looks worse than the pure 2D prints.

There will be an IMAX release, though.

By the way, Ill... you'll want to order this:

https://www.amazon.com/Sucker-Punch-Movie-Zack-Snyder/dp/1848568533/

It's going to be more than just a standard "Art of..." book. If you recall, they actually did 3 separate books for WATCHMEN: An Art of, a Making of, and Clay's Photo book. Well this time they're going with a different approach and releasing one book with pretty much a nice mixture of everything: Art, Behind The Scenes stuff, Portrait photos, etc. Zack, Clay and Alex Pardee are all working on it together. :rock

I think I might have to pick up that book.

Hey Ill, want to go see this movie in IMAX together? If I get scared, can we cuddle? We should get Nick and a some others to go as well.
