Zizzle 12" Jack Sparrow review

Cool, I'd love to see what those sleeves look like.

I may still buy a Zizzle just for the coat. If I do, I plan to bleach it a bit, then re-dye it a more "salty" brown/very dark green. That should also shrink it up a hair.

If you have the time, could you post a picture of your Zizzle Jack with your Sovereign Jack? I'd love to see how they compare.

That's funny, I was going to do the same thing. In fact, when I first saw the Medicom Jack that's what I was thinking too...until I came to my senses and figured why spend $125 on a figure just for the coat.

I still want that bloody Medicom Jack though.

i apologise for my pathetic pic skills.
as u can see, they look a tad different lol. Ziz is quite a bit taller but the coat looks to be about the correct length from shoulder to bottom hem. i think it may be a bit wide though. Zstil has decent gear for 20 bucks.

Your Jack looks great. I like his coat; looks more worn like Sparrow's.

I do think the Zizzle coat may work for me. You saw the coat I have; not so good. You are right though, it does look quite wide in the shoulder. Maybe I can stitch it tighter on the hem in back. The length of the coat and the sleeves look perfect.

yeah, i would definitely try the Ziz coat because now that i've given it a good look, the back of it is VERY nice! it has those accordian style pleats i was telling u about, that Shawn's doesn't. they could use a good ironing to give'em creases but they give it a nice flaired look to the bottom half of the coat. hell i may replace the greenish one w/ it.

oh and i saw ur Indy but i didn't see ur pics of Jack. maybe i missed that PM. do u have him posted somewhere?

I don't have any good pix of my custom JACK but here's the best of the bunch...

As you can see, our coats are very similar. But I do think the Zizzle coat looks better -- the spacing between the buttons on the cuffs, the pleats in the back, etc. Mine is a little short too.

Here's the real Jack coat to compare...

BTW Mookey, what happened to that picture you sent me of Shawn's green coat? That coat looked pretty good, wrong color but the cut and style looked good.

lol, u keep forgetting Wor. i have 1 Jack in my possesion now (the pics i posted above) and i have one on the way from Shawn (the greenish coat pics i showed u before. those were pics he sent me. he said he shipped it out this past Friday). and i really like the way ur Jack's pants look (this sounds sooo weird). they fit better than the one i have now. and the face paint on urs is nicer i think.

Ah, I see. That's where I got confused. I didn't realize you have 2 from Shawn. I thought you bought one but it was delayed when you found out you could get a coat. Anyway, never enough Jack Sparrows, right? And if you're getting the one in those pictures you sent me, that one rocks.

Clearly he used a different material for the pants on mine. Yours looks almost like a wool type fabric. I'm sure in person the faces are pretty close. Like I said, my Jack is from a couple years ago. A lot has changed since then and people expect a higher level of detail and exactness now because of company's like SS and HT having raised the bar so high, especially in just the last few years. At the time I got this, the big sell for me was the real hair and beads on the face sculpt -- which still looks awesome. Even the clothing is great...I just was never happy with the coat so much.

If I can find me a Zizzle, I'll doctor the coat, slap it one and post some new pics to compare.
