I'm not gonna buy the argument that the douche in that video hates the movie because he's a huge Superman fan. Literally, the 2 biggest Superman fans I know (including one who goes to Superman Celebration in Metropolis, IL every year and has 2 full rooms of Superman stuff) love the movie.

This guy doesn't hate the movie because he loves the character so much... he hates it because he's viewing it with his own subjective cynicisms. His opinion doesn't validate anything other than he has an opinion. There are plenty of huge Superman fanatics who like this movie. I'd dare say many, many more than those who don't.

Pretty much all the comic guys i know loved the film, myself included.. My mother who saw the Reeve movies in theatre loved MoS. WB/DC made an enjoyable, and heartfelt movie about Superman. I've been to 2 showings, at 2 different theatres. And both times at the end the audience was cheering loudly. WB/DC should be proud of what they accomplished here, and begin looking ahead to whatever their plan is.

In contrast the people that i know who are Superman fans had mixed feelings about it. Many of them said it was because of plot holes in the story. They all said they loved the action though. I saw it twice. The first time, on opening day there were only 20 people on the theatre and the reaction was tepid. The second time there was a bigger crowd and afterwards no one really seemed to be talking much about it. One group of guys wearing comic t-shirts even began talking about how funny This is The End was.

What did I do to deserve that one Void?

I guess my love of Batman as a character outweighs that pulsating desire to have Nolan and Zimmer up my *** at the same time. :lol

It is amazing how love/lust/obsession can lead to hate... Kinda like a serial killer lol

I don't even bring TDKR up, it's you guys that provoke it. But I'm the one that's obsessed with it? Way to deflect.

Then when I do post stuff, even in jest like in the Bane doll thread for instance, I get the, "this again, LOL". We all had these discussions last summer, it's old hat, I'm willing to drop it. Just don't bring my name into it.

Every movie has plot holes. The most I can ask for as a cinema fan is that they are not so large and glaring that they take me out of the movie. TDK, MoS, IM1, Avengers etc all managed to do that. STID and Prometheus (for me) didn't. I noticed every flaw because the films couldn't stay consistent within their own logic. Good films keep you invested enough so that you don't notice their flaws. Bad films can't manage that.

I think it's because Nam is not around otherwise you'd feel the heat a little less. But I must confess when think about BAtman threads it's hard not to think about the Difabio. It's just one of those truths like when I think about the Hulk or Gold Jye flashes thru my head. I sware I for a second saw my hulk statues with gold teeth once LOL

Yeah, I was wondering what that gold tooth as your avatar was all about. Now I know!

Jye inspires people, he's a symbol of hope. No doubt about that.

I'm still laughing about the pineapple symbol being a symbol of hope. :rotfl
