I guess it kind of makes the most sense to give them suits like that if they are going to fight crime... I mean "SWAT" recruit look, they need the protection

No.. sorry, that makes ZERO sense actually.

These guys are supposed to be more than the average human pleb. Flash for instance - what's his ability? Oh that's right, he can dodge anything coming his way. Why would he need tactical gear when he's about a thousand times faster than a bullet - or a million times faster than a guy with a knife / club / throwing a punch??

Not enough face palms to go around really.

They could make some excuse up about it being a thermal type suit, to regulate his body temperature while he's breaking the sound barrier etc.. but really, does it have to look like the above?

Such a lack of creativity, & it's obvious they're playing it safe because the tactical track suits are all the rage now.

I like it. The core elements that make it "The Flash" are there, and, though I'm not as ecstatic as I was when the cowl pic showed up, I think they'll make it work when we see it the way it was meant to be seen. I still say, though, that this is one case where a straight adaptation of the New 52 suit would've worked perfectly, but maybe they're saving that for the movies, if we get that far.
