There's nothing over-rated about Vader but he's the central character of SW films not can't be viewed as a villain.

Just re-watched the Harry Potter films this weekend (actually my kids did, I passively followed along while surfing)

I think the last film lets the whole series down. Eight films and the end of the last film has the dumbest freaking ending. Stick the actors in bad middle age makeup and send the next generation off to school.

Lord of the Rings had three movies and 4 big ass endings. Everyone had a proper sendoff.

Vader is overrated as a villain, not as a character, but as a villain...he was only good on episodes 4 and 5. ROTJ ruined Vader as a villain...long before the prequels put the final nail in the coffin :lol

Can't argue with the Jedi ruining Vader as a villain. Even before he turned good he seemed neutered. However Vader in Empire is one of if not the greatest villain ever. He is just so bad ads in that one.

The last Harry Potter book had the same ending

I could say that the last book was very different... mmm, not. :lol
BUT the book series is indeed way better than films. The ones directed by David Yates are the worst.

How long were the three of them out there camping in the woods? Holy crap. And she couldn't write a few more pages for a satisfying resolution to some characters? I felt worse about Dobby dying than these characters story concluding. A CG elf who I hated.

A BOOK better then a MOVIE???!?!?!?
Riddick...how can you be so ridiculous....

HP ended exactly as the book did. But Another unpopular opinion...

Prisoner of Askaban was the worst HP adaption...

On a side note.....I can only think of a few films that told the Story better than the book.

JAWS is one.
Blade Runner is another.

any others that were better as films?
Oh...two more

The MIST
The Shawshank Redemption

Who says all Stephen Kings Books turn into bad film adaptations???
