Since your costume is kind of close to this new movie version, I would repaint it the x-force colors. It would be a cool variant to have.

Honestly, it's only around $60 more to get the deluxe with all the extra stuff + the great headsculpt. You will be hard pressed to find a sculpt that comes close to this one for $60 or less.

To echo what @Earth 616 Collector mentioned, most quality headsculpts won’t be cheaper than the approximate $60 extra that the deluxe version is. Even if you were to buy the unmasked sculpt by itself when the figure is released, it will more than likely sell for more than $60. There are a bunch of recast sculpts that you can find for pretty cheap on eBay/aliexpress but you get what you pay for

I recommend a repaint! or keep it as you have it because it looks sick either way! But a repaint is certainly a great way to keep a fantastic sculpt (and overall figure) like that in the collection. Even as you upgrade!

I’m taking my SKINGS helmeted head, giving it a repaint, then my partner and I are doing some mods to a tactical Batman 2.0 and building this bad boy:

I’ve got quite a few of the Wolverine heads that are on the market in my collection. These folks are right. You’ll be able to get a recast head for cheap but often they are just ever so slightly smaller than the original heads. You’re gonna pay a pretty penny for an authentic and GOOD Wolverine sculpt.

Heres a few examples of whats out there that aren’t recasts, each would cost you over $60 to get authentic versions of, so as others say, it may be worth it just to get the deluxe, unless one of these heads really float your boat and you go deal hunting looking:



And then there’s these which I don’t personal photos readily available for:




And as others have said it’s unlikely that you’re able to grab many of these other heads individually under $60, so buying the deluxe D&W Wolverine WITH the head is probably, financially, the best choice. Otherwise You’d also have to grab an extra neck for your unmasked look, because unless I’m mistaken, the deluxe has a skin neck, and a yellow neck for the different looks.



So that’s about another $15 for the neck…

I’d heed the advice of these fine folk and just spring for the deluxe.

Anyone know any comic-style 1/6 painters who are taking commissions out there? Was looking at JCM, but he appears to be out of the game.

Not quite finished yet. Need a pointing gloved right hand. So loving this that I just had to post now. Obviously using the Mondo wink head.

I had the whole outfit made for me. Just ordered the needed gloves. Had a 97 outfit and classic outfit made too. Love Rogue. Will be working on a couple of Angel figures and a Blob figure in the weeks to come.
