I love 89 Bat's to death but some of the promotional pics and shots they used for posters are pretty awful. This suit and cowl is not at it's best in regular to bright lighting. It only highlights how ridiculous it actually looks.

It requires darkness and shadows. It's part of the problem I had with The Flash Keaton Bats. Absolutely hated seeing him fighting in broad daylight.

Putting his sculpt over the promotional screenshot and lowering the opacity, his sculpted lips are pretty accurate actually.
Nope. There is a distinct lack of realism in those lips imo. I attribute this to them not having any creases. Keaton had dry ass, chapped lips.

It's why those lips are not working for me. It's gonna take sculpting them with care to get it done.

The fact that I'm sitting here debating Michael Keaton's chapped lips makes me want to go rethink my life.

The lips being sculpted accurately is not my subjective opinion, it is objective reality. If you put the two images on top of each other the entire lip shape aligns almost perfectly. Most likely due to him tracing the image when sculpting. If you want to say the lips need to be more chapped that’s cool but they are factually incredibly accurate.

I see what you're saying now. My bad. Yes they are apparently shaped right. Without the creases and chapped look for definition, they will always look off to me. But that's my cross to bear.

If you think I'd pay $300+ (which I'm not) for what that render (original and modified) is showing, you're out of your rabbitty ass mind.

Yeah lol under bright lights this suit looks ridiculous, especially the mask which literally looks like a thick block of rubber on his head, the shadows make it look ill fitting.

Eh. Eye of the beholder and all that. I'd settle for face plate but that wouldn't command an abhorrent amount of money so, very unlikely.

IMO, the perfect 1/6 scale Keaton 89 Bat (for now) would be:

2.0 Masked head + DX09 neutral faceplate
+
DX09 body
+
custom cape

I'm not sure the the inaccurate texture of the 2.0 would be worth the old DX09's very worn out and weak joints. Or the trouble of a suit swap which would be a hell of a job.

Will the new neck peg system attach to the DX09 body or one similar?
I think someone covered this a few pages back with pics and everything. I just breezed through it though. Not sure on the answer.

Didn't Justin try it? Looked off.
