I'm not at all excited about this release unfortunately. Certainly not in any way that's comparable to Aragorn for example. But it still warrants a spot in my collection.

I guess it's a "been there, done that" kinda deal. I know what to expect when I get the figure in hand. Pretty straight forward. Take it out the box, and place it on a stand.

Maybe if they pushed it closer to those graphics that potato cooked, it'd be a heck of a lot more interesting.

Yeah, capturing Superman’s facial expression at the Senate hearing gives me zero excitement. I would have preferred that it be the moment when Batman is skidding on a curve in the Batmobile and Superman appears to give the Batmobile a toe tap, haha.

It’s all going to boil down to how it actually looks in-hand, on the display shelf.

Not really a complaint.

I guess what I mean is, it's just a Superman figure at the end of the day, not unlike anything I've owned or seen a hundred times before. So whether it comes out tomorrow, or a year from now as we were discussing earlier, I'm not losing any patience waiting for it.

But, if enough updates are implemented, it could rejuvenate some hype for me.

Is that the angry laser eye sculpt expression? It looks the coolest one to display to me compared to the neutral one.

This covers it quite clearly.

While current suit color isn’t movie accurate for the collectible I still prefer it being brighter blue, as we probably won’t get another Cavill figure for ages, it gonna be a nice unified representation of him. However I agree on everything else, his body definitely needs to be chonkier, especially thighs.

the blue is correct.

I'd upload a photo, but Im guessing all images on the net are now webp. and this forum is ancient.

Is asserting that ‘the blue is correct’ going to lead to a conversation about which is more important and accurate- replicating the real world colours of the prop or how it was presented in the movie after applying filters, colour correction, and Snyderization?

Yes suit is definitely bluer in the movie than some ppl think. Snyder signature filter made it look darker.

Personally I prefer actual suit colors over screen accurate/Snyderized. While I absolutely love the film I think Hot Toys figure looks too dark and doesn’t look as impressive on display.

Yeah that does look damn good.
It’ll always be subjective between people wanting a brighter blue or the screen accurate look.

I guess the real questions is- which ought companies treat as the definitive reference?
I lean towards screen colours.

I believe the fact this is Superman who is historically very bright and saturated in depiction is ‘colouring’ opinions.
