As am I. I wanted to wait until this had been out a while, but I am seriously considering getting it for a friend. He's the biggest Nolan Batman fan I know, and I wanted to make sure this was well received before even considering it. The 1:6 thread has like 235 pages, compared to 12 here?! I was worried that meant maybe this fig had issues?

All in all, how happy are people with this unmodded? Are the rubber pieces holding up and made well? If my friend wound up with a flaking pleather ala Vader situation he'd probably freak. Modding isn't his forte, so it'll be an out-of-box thing for him probably forever.
The plastic on the armor (suit in general) feels cheaper than the first release but other than that, the figure without mods it's fantastic

It'll be nice to have a new and improved 1/4 joker but I don't think hottoys will do it again, at least not in 1/4 scale.

Does anyone have that 1/4 ko Bruce Wayne figure??

It will be a great figure it with the hot toys sculpt
Did you end up with the 1/4 ko Bruce Wayne? I can't find any reviews on it.

Not really. I think he sells a 1/6 neck compatible with a stock head, but not 1/4. I ended up modding my LED head to fit by dismantling and moving the connector deeper into the cowl so it would sit properly on the custom neck.

Rory, I understand some minor modification to the suit is needed to use the OT neck. I've got one on the way and was curious if you could explain what needed to be modded.

For the suit you just need to remove the rubber ring around the collar.

I assume you're talking about the highlighted part, right? Can I just pull it out by hand or is cutting required? Seems likes it's pretty firmly in there.

You can gently tug it out if I recall. Even if it gets damaged, the OT neck has this part sculpted onto it, so you wouldn't need the rubber part anyways.

So I just picked this up. Got a decent price on it. I use to have the original but man did I hate the base and sold it off. Always liked it though.

Love the new base and extra bust for this one. However I can’t believe they did not include the rage mouth plate and kept the kissy lipped one. Argh

Anyways glad to be getting it. This is a pic that I took when I had the first and I always wished I never sold it until I remember that base lol

Is that a1/6
I upgraded a QS019 with my parts and it’s now my main display piece. Overall not a ton of changes but it seems here’s what’s new:
- Revised paint apps, they’re more similar to whats on the 1:4 Begins with very fine sprays of different shades, it’s a definite improvement on the Bruce sculpt. I’m not sure if I prefer chins more yet or not
- The mesh undersuit seems blacker than the QS001 I had on display
- The body proportions seem a bit better around the waist
- The new display base is slightly less frustrating to pose the figure on and looks way cooler
- The bust for displaying another sculpt is fantastic

joker in the back? I’m asking because I’m looking between the qs019 and dx19. I think I like the qs019 better but I preordered the new joker which is 1/6. So I’m torn with get the dx19 or go and buy the qs

is that joker a 1/6th in the back? I ask because I’m between the qs019 and the dx19. But I just preordered the new 1/6th joker. So I’m wondering if I should just buy the dx19 to match or buy the qs010 and sell the 1/6th when I get it. Is it weird having 2 different sizes? I think I prefer the qs019 that’s why it’s so hard for me

The 1/4 scale dark night it's a fantastic piece

I still need to make a new display case for the rerelease, some day...

@eolson373
QS19 it's on another lvl compared to the dx19 I'll say go for the one you like the most

Paint looks good! Do you have a tutorial on how to paint
No but I can walk you through how I do it. I make sure the head is sanded smooth, then I apply several coats of Tamiya gray primer, then use a fine grit nail polishing stick to buff that smooth. Then hit it with several layers of Vallejo Mech Pure Black acyrlic paint thinned with Vallejo thinner. I let that cure for several days so I know the acrylic is as hard as it can get. Then I apply several coats of Krylon matte topcoat, using a wet coat last. Then buff it with a soft microfiber cloth to get back a little shine. Presto!

Yeah he sells his own custom painted eyes with the deluxe heads. The HT and OT eyes both fit the same into the eye plates, they just pop right in.
How an unpainted sculpt arrived?

Sorry for the questions Rory but I want to try again to get one of those custom sculpts

I keep seeing the QS019 on sale off 'n' on on Sideshow, from 25% to 35%. Been quite tempting and maybe, if he's still available during Spooktacular with a discount and free shipping, I will get him.

Its great to see all the mods done to him that make him look as good as he can, and close to the way he actually was in the movies.

Probably a silly question, but is there anyone who provides these mod services? Would love to get them done when I get him.

Thanks a lot for all the help!

Snagged him at the 25% discount, and in hand he has such an amazing shelf presence. The figure proportions and suit finish are very impressive imo. I can definitely see Bale under that suit, especially with the slightly open mouth plate.

Wish the neck piece was a little thicker, and the less said about that abonimation of a packaging the better.

But other than that, hard to fault this figure at the current discounted price. The amazing diorama base and additional bust really makes it feel like a miniaturized prime 1 statue, at half the price!

Get it while you still can guys! Because at the current rate the QS figures have been performing, I won't be surprised if HT pulls the plug on the QS line altogether in the near future.
