In terms of paint?
Sculpt. It looks idealised to my eyes and I guess, in that comparison at least, the skin tones are exaggerated too. The reddish nose, the yellowish eyes socket. All the details just seem to be pushed a bit too much, like an ever so slight caricature.

Think the more flatter paint on the PT Studio doesn't do it justice, espicially when compared to Hot Toys prototype paint quality (besides the dull Endo bits).

Shape and sculpt itself on the PT Studio is better imo. This sculpt with Hot Toys prototype quality paint and rolling eyes would be amazing:

Any side profile images of the Hot Toys sculpt? 🤔

You hardly ever get profile views when new sculpts are being debuted. Annoying because it's often the sideview where you can tell things are off.

Hmm, not sure I see that.

Agreed. I can't get past the swollen head HT keep giving him. DX13, MMS238 and now this too. Rotfish illustrated it with his edit here

I took the liberty of doing some hair mods of my own on what Rotfish had done

I don't like the facial proportions on the PT sculpt. When you turn the figure slightly, they look pretty exaggerated, especially the forehead shape. It's a mess.

That's Present Toys, not the same as PT studio, but I certainly understand the confusion.

I've been trying to convince myself to get rid of my two 1/4 scale figures and to stay away from collecting them due to cost and space issues, but if HT were to announce a 1/4 T-800, I'd be panting like Miles Dyson, trying not to hit the preorder button. That teaser they made years ago still haunts me.

Exactly.

Although I'm hoping for more 1/4, to be honest. So many statue companies are pushing 1/3 and that's even more prohibitive. I'm frustrated that if I want a lifelike T-800 in a large format, the best option by far is the Prime 1 x Blitzway 1/3 statue. Second place goes to the old Enterbay figure, but its internals aren't chrome enough and its pleather outfit is notorious for flaking.

If they do the clean version, I sure hope Tamiya reissues the Fatboy 1/6 model kit. I WILL BUILD IT THIS TIME.

The last time I bought it, I was overwhelmed by the amount of work it required, so I ended up holding onto it for years and later sold it for a million $ or something.

It would be great if someone would do a 1/6 Fatboy (preferably HT) but I just don't see that happening.

Yeah I done the Tamiya Honda 750 kit some time ago for my T1 Termy, pretty time consuming but just did it little by little so I didn't get too frustrated.

I think a new Fatboy kit would be nice but yeah we need a clean Arnie for that. Maybe HT will make a new Galleria Terminator with Harley?
