I have no prior experience with Blitzway, they update things during production? I also don’t know what you mean by open edition 😅

Admittedly, I’m a noob when it comes to statue collectibles. This would be my first if I’m able to get it via Spec or preferably BBTS since they had the Black Label Michael Jackson on there.
I usually try to go with Spec for statues instead of BBTS since you won’t have to pay tax.

But Spec takes an eternity to ship, no? As in years after release, from what I’ve gathered..

I’ve also heard Comic Concepts might be a decent option too (?).
It depends on what it is, but also remember BBTS takes a long time as well. My Blitzway/Prime 1 Ripley from Spec shipped not too long after it was ready to ship from BBTS. I’ve heard good things about CC as well but Todd at SF has personally helped me get a hold of a few different sold-out pieces at this point so they have won my business as far as statues.

Interesting hearing folks unsatified with the Ewan sculpt. I think it's darn near perfect. Better than any previous attempt IMO including the HT and Sideshow figures. Definitely better than the custom Inigo sculpts as well.

I've only heard of Spec taking a long time for Queen Studios and InArt products, not so much with others. I know for JND specifically, they tend to get their stock not long after JND has fulfilled their own site orders.

I was thinking about going with Comic Concepts for these two though.

Not a fan of those bases.
A too tall, nondescript, generic, greebly platform. Cheapens them a bit in my eyes.

Presumably these two are meant to pair together to recreate the Mustafar showdown- so I’d expect an orange light would make more sense than light blue.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Hot Toys even do away with moveable eyes years ago? I mean, it was a thing on their Deluxe pieces when TDK Joker came out, maybe on Indiana Jones too, can't remember as I didn't buy him.

Is anyone here clamoring for it on statues? I mean, it could work, but I can also seeing something going wrong and one eye getting stuck in position out of sync with the other creating a wonderful lazy-eyed paperweight.

Every Hot Toys figure now has moveable eyes.

Hopefully a UK supplier will get the Obi-Wan and Anakin up for pre order. Will be interesting to see if Blitzway end up doing other Star Wars statues, would be cool to see a 1/4 Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, C-3PO and R2-D2 etc.

Very cool to see these, nice to see some innovation in statues by adding some articulation!
These are not characters I collect, but maybe in the future there's something for me. I'm not a statue collector, but I have a handful of 1:4 figures that I rarely pose, so I'm not entirely opposed to this concept.

Anakin looks great in all aspects, and I also like Obi-Wan's sculpt.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this yet (or I missed it), but there's something seriously off about Kenobi's physique IMO. He looks like a rugby player, while McGregor is much more slender. The cloak hides it somewhat, but even there, the movie shot looks like a very baggy cloak, while the figure looks like he fills it out.

I don't want to rain on anybody's parade because he does look good, but it's something I would hope they address and improve before production.

The cloak does make a significant difference but he's definitely a little buff for sure. Not a deal breaker for me as I'd display with the cloak and not be bothered by it...

Thanks for pointing that out @agonistes86

I felt there was ale thing a bit off but it wasn’t the headsculpt for me, so I couldn’t pinpoint what it was.

I’m hoping the clothing gets adjusted and/or it can be easily futzed with to give the leaner appearance; especially with the semi-articulated body.

Does anyone know if the Australian and American retailers will be getting this for sale?

Not sure why Blitzway cancelled my order for Anakin rooted. I’ve reached but. Good this hasn’t sold out yet but damn. I’m nervous now. If anyone can alert in case rooted goes up for US dealers. These need to go up so I can sleep.
