Not really nit picking imo. We have 13 going on 14 years of knowing what Savage looks like in the animated series. Whilst it’s a good sculpt on a technical level it’s just not what I see of when think of Savage since we’ve never officially seen a live action version of him.

And let me guess, you see Ahsoka when you look at the CW Ahsoka figure? Lol.

Also not sure why he has pearly whites. He shgould have sharp yellowed teeth.

And the bandages on his robot arm are missing. Pretty major detail missing.

Cause yeah, Disney Lucasfilm literally don’t care nor are they privy to Lucas designs.

More recently, Hot Toys botched the Fives and Echo helmets.

His face does look a little closer to animated than I expected, but he still looks cool. I love the slight snarl. The recent output of villains between this, Grievous, Starkiller, Revan, and ROTS Palp is forcing me to rethink my whole Star Wars shelving arrangement.

I wish I can feel that way, but can’t. They’re all just made up designs to me. It’s like I’m buying Hot Toys’ own design vs a figure based on the source material design, despite the medium. I wish this entire line was done in the same vein as the ITSV line.

Simply put, I’d rather have a figure that looks like whatever it’s representing.

then just don't buy it or pretty much, stop caring about this Clone Wars lineup from Hot Toys. It has been like this from the very beginning with Rex.

Go with Sideshow for the animated show.

I love anything Maul related, and am happy to have Clancy Brown representation in the collection. Definitely getting this, gonna rack up these Sideshow points from this event and grab him after.

Sideshow isn’t an alternative for me, unfortunately.

And I guess I’ll always care about it lol, cause I’m “passionate” about the Clone Wars and it bothers me more than I’d care to admit how they get these figures in this line wrong for x reason. What really gets to me is when HT fails to realize how certain things are supposed to look like in live-action like the clone trooper pauldrons, kamas, etc., and they insist on giving them the animated style vs the ROTS live-action style. I remember when they announced Rex, I was so let down lol
