Yes, very nice figure. The facial hair and especially the eyebrows are definitely a negative. Maybe should have been rooted like the hair.
I can kind of see why they maybe didn’t do that but I think they would have looked better rooted. Not sure if the eyebrows in particular would be easy to shape for Kruge though.

I'm sure @davejames will retouch the eyebrows and goatee to add some shading/texture/depth to the facial hair and show EXO what those paint apps should have looked like since they went sculpted, and make us all jealous at the same time...

I bought Kruge late after the pre-orders ended from Exo-6 and went to Popcultca instead, so I will probably get him in like 6-months. Now they are available again for sale directly on the EXO site? Do they always close pre-orders and then sell directly from their website when the figure releases?

Exo-6 has been offering in-stock purchases of newly released figures about 10 to 13 days after they send the final invoices for preorders. At the top of their website they announce the date when the figure will be available for in-stock purchase. Also, I would suggest subscribing to their newsletter.

O.M.G!!
Just opened Kruge, and this thing is a MASTERPIECE!

So much better in hand under natural lighting conditions than ANY of the promo photos and even the in-hand shots have shown so far IMArrogantO...

Only issue I've found in my quick out of the box inspection is that half of one of his sculpted eyebrows fell off in transit. But I found it loose in the box, and I can tell by the way its engineered that this will be a super easy fix.

Anyway, I'm pretty blown away! And the packaging was so premium on this one, it honestly felt like unboxing an InArt figure! I'm sure that was no coincidence.

Busy weekend coming up, so it will probably be a while before I can take some proper photos, but can't wait to share those when they're ready!

EXO has leveled up again! I sure hope this continues into the next several releases, but especially Saavik and TWOK..............and Jadzia!

Ok, here’s one 😇

Packaging is nice for Kruge. One thing that kind of stinks is when I opened mine the tape from the plastic bag stuck to the top a bit and took off some of the foil lettering. 🙁

Yeah the more I study this figure the more I think the higher price was completely justified.

And I'm so happy they made it a separate neck, since Christopher Lloyd was always tilting his head in different ways, and you can get a lot more attitude out of the figure that way.

I also never noticed that weird black collar he had in the movie. Guess that got dropped from the costume in its later appearances.

Only thing that would have made this better was a wire in the cloak, so you could have it blowing in that Genesis Planet wind.

I don’t have Kruge in hand myself. But from pics I think the hair was the right move and it sure is a great rendering of Christopher Lloyd, but to be honest I’m not at all digging those eyebrows.

I was disappointed by the rooted hair, mostly because of the poor quality of it. This isn't the natural fibre wool kind of hair we're seeing on artisan figures today, but something like the thin polyester strands we saw on dolls and other 1:6 figures in the past. At least that's what it feels like and how it behaves. The hair is easily messed up and left with flyaway strands. I can imagine it fraying and puffing out over time, like most synthetic fibre doll hair did. I already have a few strands out of place that won't go back to their position. Static really seems to adversely affect this fibre. I'm just hoping it holds up over the years, but do think sculpted hair would have worked fine. Maybe sculpting a bob haircut style isn't EXO-6 strength, and if they tried it would have turned into a helmet head, sort of like their Janeway figure.
