Perhaps you should choose between them based on which has the nicer curves.

Just kidding!!!*

* - You should really decide based on anticipated long-term satisfaction lol...
I was just going to choose based on which has more visible blemishes when they're both angled in high contrast light and cancel the more flawed. Then I plan to make repeated discussion online based on my disdain of the flawed characteristics. It's gonna be a tough choice... and I may end up homeless.

My biggest dilemma now is probably going to result in my wife divorcing me because the only place I can properly display this car is on her side of the bed...

The Office Thank You GIF

It’s been years that I say that 89 and Returns paint jobs are very close. Satin/semi gloss finish.
Returns seems darker due to the fact that almost everything is painted in black.
And all people have been biased by all the glossy black replicas seen through the years.

That's how I literally painted my model kits one semi-gloss and the other with a glossy finish. Although I've seen the batmobile remote controls of the batmissile and the batmobile, they also vary in paint finish, I always disliked the inconsistencies though. But even with products like the Batboat, it's either glossy or it isn't lol.

I’ve always been curious: Do we know whatever became of the 89 hero car? Was it for sure one of the cars repainted and used for Returns? The Returns seats (specifically the head rests) are different from the 89, but maybe they were replaced or the 89 hero was only used for exterior shots? I know there were multiple cars but I’ve never been able to positively identify the 89 hero in Returns….

After this video… if I were one of those who canceled because of the drama… I think I would have ate my balls…

Can’t wait to receive mine!
The Tested video reaffirmed my decision to cancel but it sounds like you have the right expectations and I hope you get lots of enjoyment out of yours. There’s no denying it’s a unique and limited piece. Thankfully for me, meatballs are not on the menu today. 😉

Is it me or Joost made the same mistake than HT and interverted the left machine gun position…
Not a deal breaker for me but pity…

On this shot, if you don’t have the scale reference, you could be mistaken and think it’s the real car.
Absolutely gorgeous!

Yes, he acknowledged that on the Facebook page. Surprisingly, no one caught it. *And interestingly the Hot Toys prototype from years ago did have the guns in the correct positions but not for the released version. It makes me think Warner Bros. made them change it for whatever reason.

That ventriloquist guy owns one of these cars, not sure which version though. I remember seeing it showcased on a Jay Leno show or something.
I’ve see that video. Dunham confirms it was a third stand in car made specifically for Returns, so not the 89 hero. He also states there were only two cars made for 89. I’m not sure if that’s accurate or not. Dunham’s stand in car lacks several details the hero cars had such as the mesh and turbine internals. Makes sense as it was just a stand in.
