I read that their prototype was a disaster and they went back to the drawing board
The cowl sculpt and suit, yes indeed. And they are also working on the Knightmare which is also gonna be revealed next year. So I think they'd reveal both versions consecutively now.

I look at it this way: I’ll probably sell this HT BvS Batman 2.0 once the InArt BvS Batman gets released. But in the meantime I’ll enjoy it while I have it for a small fraction of the retail price if I were to keep it. I’ll probably take a slight loss on it on resale, but that’ll then be the cost of owning the figure for however long I have it.

I actually don’t care about all the diorama accessories for this figure. The figure itself is all I care about. I just want the latest greatest upgraded BvS Batman because I love that character.

Is the material of the suit identical to the first release? I'd consider getting this, at least until InArt release theirs(and that could be 2-3 years away) but worry about longevity.

My SS squad figure isn't holding up very well. Most of the material under the boots and gauntlets is destroyed. Bits starting to flake elsewhere. This is a moderate UK climate and it's never been anywhere near direct sunlight.

I’ll keep my money in my pockets and #waitforinart lol

Off topic: guys do you fully get back your preorder deposit upon cancelling any preorder at Specfiction? Need your guidance thanks :)

I could see this being another instance where you can’t go wrong either way - similar to the competing Hot Toys and InArt Battinsons. Hot Toys’ version was a good value, and looks great.

Hot Toys’ Batfleck only needs some minor changes to look near perfect - the proportions and the neck area. If they fix those, I’d be more than happy not spending an extra $200 for it to say “InArt” on the box.

This figure looked awful upon first look ad it still looks awful now. Hardly an upgrade from the original. With the insane amount of Batfleck customs in the community that look 1:1 the actual movie, you'd think HT would take some notes. Seems they went with the Flash movie Batman route on this as well.

I also agree this looks awful, but hey beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I still think the SS version is the overall best one.

I'd really appreciate it. Thanks
You can’t, only place you really are able to talk into getting it back is Sideshow. Everyone else, your only option is to hope the release gets canceled which isn’t really a thing.

Deposits are viewed as NRDs.

Have you tried to get someone
to take over your preorder?

@Aybaig Aside from BVS Batfleck, Knightmare, and Wonder Woman, is there anything else in the pipeline for the Snyderverse?

I'd really appreciate it. Thanks
If it goes beyond the advertised release date they gave you’re entitled to a full refund on your deposit. I can’t remember what figure it was but I managed to get it back. That’s why they put Oct 24-March 25. If it goes beyond March you get your full deposit back.

Thanks for your response Nick.

Ah I see.

No not yet brother, I don't even know how this thing works here 😅

Are you talking about Spec or Sideshow buddy? I'm familiar with Sideshow but it's Spec I'm asking about.
I ordered IA Premium Rooted Bats from them back in Aug 2022. And I guess they are also way past their initial advertised release date.

For complete certainty I’d give them a shout via email, Todd the owner should get in touch quickly bro. Not sure if you’ll get a response during weekends though. Better to ask and get a solid answer than to rush into cancellation.

If they won’t return the deposit,
also ask if you’re able to hand your order over to a friend, letting them pay the remaining balance once due.
