First thoughts unboxing. Looks nice in hand. My right gauntlet has a bent blade. I’ve tried to bend it back but it goes back to the position it came. Also maybe I have fat fingers but I find the eyes in the cowl hard to move with my fingers.
By ‘blade’ are you referring to the straps?

This Batman doesn’t have gauntlet blades yet. The straps are just a visual teaser that likely hint at a future suit progression.

So one of them being bent seems like something they’d do irl since they’re fabric.

The eyes are a friggin’ nightmare though. Such a non user-friendly system.

Yeah, I was blanking on how to describe the part I meant apparently. :lol

It’s the middle strap on the right gauntlet. Just looks bent and kind of annoying. Tried a hair dryer but it didn’t stick how I wanted. Might try some hot water tonight.

For the eyes I wound up using the tool Hot Toys included with the 89 Batman. That kind of worked to help adjust the eyes. Still wish there was an easier option though.

Again with the base. Piece of junk. Batman fell again when I was at work. Luckily not very far. Just fell onto the table I had him standing on. Still very annoying that for the price these figures cost they can’t stand more stable. I’m going to try and find something with a crotch grabber.

I've gotta figure the cape is to blame? Admittedly, I don't have mine in hand yet, but it seems like that would contribute to a lot of imbalance. I've actually been pretty happy with the moveable magnets with Aragorn -- far from perfect, but I trust that base a hell of a lot more than Gandalf's disaster.

Either way, I'd love to see some reverse pillaging and have InArt steal (and improve?) the foot pegs HT pulled out for Artisan Joker. That feels like a great solution for stable, non-intrusive posing.

InArt needs to include a tool like this for the eyes that the third party company Starman included with Chun-Li.

The only thing I've to say for now after a couple of hours with the figure is that the belt is hard to install and the holster is even harder. You guys weren't kidding. Also f*ck the cape.

That aside, seems like I got almost no defects on my figure, just the cape that is too weathered around the neck.

I received my Batman from Spec and spent part of the day setting him up. I think it’s a great figure overall and love all the attention to detail. I think it was definitely worth the wait. The belt was a PIA to install though. I got to the point that I was going to just leave him beltless lol. I ended up removing his boot and installing through there instead of trying to go over the thigh. I noticed on his left boot there is also a shiny paint defect that doesn’t want to come off so not sure what I’ll do about that. It’s not a huge deal but it is kind of distracting in person. I also ended up with 2 left closed fists so I’ll reach out to see if they can send me the correct one.

I also got two left fists. Kit got a right one to me pretty fast.

I didn’t find the belt to be that bad. Although I don’t understand why it couldn’t have been pre-installed on the figure.

The cape is kind of meh. Definitely not the most impressive thing I’ve seen and not better than some Hot Toys capes.

I would say having three InArt figures that I feel they’re a mixed bag. They do some things well but over complicate certain things as well. I’m happy with my Batman but at the same time I question if it was worth the upcharge versus just settling for Hot Toys.

Neither figure is perfect but at least Hot Toys would have come with a base that holds the figure in stable positions and I wouldn’t have had to buy a replacement.

I don’t recall struggling with the belt for a solitary second but I’m used to doing very precise work with my hands and always have a set of tiny tweezers at hand when setting figures up.

Yeah in my case it was more with the thigh straps. I just couldn’t get them to reach to clip but after taking off the boot and installing it that way it worked fine. Thankfully I haven’t had any issues the bases for Joker or Batman so far. I actually like how you can move the magnet around based on the foot placement.

Hope you get a faster response than me with my duplicate left bicep armour.
I asked them for an update the other day after a week of initially submitting my issue and their response was along the lines of "we will respond once we have time/a response" which has put me off this figure all together when the HT with the OSK cape and unreal sculpt to come looks better overall.

After spending some more time with the figure, here are my takeaways:

1. DONT TRUST THE MAGNETIC BASE: First impression was that the magnets were pretty strong and could keep the figure in place. But it fell twice on it's back, the first time I blamed myself for not spending enough time aligning the magnets, but after doing so, it still fell off. Is the solution a bigger magnet? I don't know, so far, I've been taking the risk of having him stand on his own and seems to be stable.

2. UNMASKED HEADSCULPT IS UNDERSCALED: I was a denier of that claim, thinking that people were just assuming that because of the oversized clothes they took that impression. No, it is definitely underscaled, and it looks ridiculous next to other figures of his size. The only way to sort of hide that is using the gator.

3. DRAPING THE CAPE TO AN ACCURATE SHAPE ISN'T THAT HARD
: Yes, you heard me right. You don't have to spend $50 on a cape that isn't even accurate to begin with. Yes, it has a good shape, but it lacks the volume at the ends that the stock one has. Draping it requires patience, will take you less than 30 min to have it look nicely. My attempt isn't perfect, but it looks pretty damn well from the front, which is what I'll be looking at 95% of the times. It just sucks that I'll have to undo the shape if I want to try a dynamic one. Yeah, we should've gotten 2 capes instead of only one. So maybe it makes sense having a custom, but the OSK neither Jaxon's attempt cut it for me.

4. HEAD KEEPS TILTING FORWARD: Frustrating to say the least, I don't know if it's possible to get a replacement of whatever it's causing this issue, but it's annoying not being able to move the head freely as I want. Yes, the head angled like that makes for a hard pose, but I don't really want that ALL the time.

5. QC ISSUES: Empty cowl has an awkward shape around the neck that is fixable with water treatment, cape is way too weathered around the neck, magnet on the left hand is weak, head tilts forward.

6. QUALITY: Aside from those negative points, the figure is awesome, likeness to Pattinson isn't perfect (his jaw isn't shaped like that) but the attention to detail is mesmerizing.

I always go for the hair dryer treatment, because it's gradual. But how "hot" should the water be to soften the plastic back to shape? Could it affect the seal coat or paint if it's too hot?

From my customizing days, I recall that heat can be unpredictable because we don't know what we're heating up. It's rare, but I've had paint change colour, finishes alter ... so there's always a risk, however small.

The whole reason of me wanting this was the unmasked rooted hair head. But it reminds me of the endgame captain America helmet head, it looks so tiny, underscaled or something. Everything else looks good, but that pin head, even though it looks beautiful, annoys me every time I see pictures of it.

I hate the saying "it looks better in person" because I can't just freely toss money at something just to see it in person. Unless someone wants to send me the figure to look at before buying it 🤣
