Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD I won’t deny what KFrog mentioned. The Luke sequence COULD have been really moving, it’s just at that point I was already detached. Nothing was going to make me lighten up. And I did like the lightsaber “battle” where they showed Kylos...

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD Edit: Well said ZE 501! Exactly how I felt about the language issue. This was my ranking before TLJ: ROTJ/ESB R1 ANH ROTS TFA TPM Christmas special An episode of ChiPs Fruit cake cream of asparagus soup Hepatitis AOTC I’m thinking...

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD Agreed. I think that last scene could have been a real tear jerker. Really missed opportunity there. Also agree about the casino. I get it, the universe is BIG but give a single Rodian or Jawa in there somewhere, make a connection! C’mon...

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD Whoever mentioned it prior, having Leia sacrifice herself in place of Holdo would have been perfect. They could have had just Luke force project himself into her cruiser and said there goodbyes.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD This is hard to verbalize, so hopefully I’ll get my point across. My problem with Solo originated the second I heard the timeline they were using. It’s one thing to have a 30 something Ewan play an iconic character we relate to as being in...

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD Ragnarok humor worked, Imo. This did not. Im not against humor in a SW film. I just like my humor to be, funny. Perfect example, the part where Rey slices off the rock slab and it hits those caretakers wagon, I’m ok with that, while the Poe...

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD No when I think back on Solo being labeled a “mess”, that probably means it was going to be great.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD Haaaa! Hilarious. Lots of the IMDB reviews are pretty great. More entertaining than the movie.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD From IMDB: “The Last Jedi felt like making love to the woman of your dreams, and right before you climaxe she stops you, pushes you away, and tells you to leave for not apparent reason.” Ha!

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD “Making jokes about SE in the real world” Great if way putting it. I’ll one up that and say that it takes me out of it when they mention ANYTHING real world related. Happened durring the PT also, when colloquialisms like “dad” we’re used...

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD Under normal circumstances, I would have been in a theater right now waiting to see it my 3rd or 4th time at this point. As it stands, once was more than enough.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD That’s fine, too. We can just chock that up to inexperience. Edwards loves SW, though, and it shows in his interviews. Regardless, no one can save these ST characters, imo. R1 made me care about everyone involved. As far as the misplaced...

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Dec 15th, 2017)

Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD For the first time in 40 years I went into a SW movie completely ambivalent. No hype, no excitement, in fact on thurs night when my wife suggested we get the tree on Friday, I sighed and said, “We have to go see SW, I guess.”. I won’t even...

    Hasbro appreciation thread.

I dunno maybe Hasbros contract for the SW license costs more, so there's less profit margin? I know a few years back you could get Joe's with like 10 accessories for the same price as a single accessory SW figure, as Hasbro owned GIJOE, so there was no middle man. I realize in your example they...

    Hot Toys Elite Praetorian Guards

Or another Phasma getting owned and thrown in the trash. These guys better so something cool.

    Hasbro appreciation thread.

@OHN:That would be cool, but it's nice to have something at this price point. There's always Figuarts for the next level, ya know? I feel same towards Hasbros old 12" line. While most were bad compared to today's offerings, it was $20 compared to $200. And there were some pretty great ones...

    S.H. Figuarts Star Wars

It does. The back of the seat should come up to his head, I think. Could just be how they sat him on there, though. Maybe just bent the knees more?

1/6 Hot Toys - Star Wars: The Last Jedi - Kylo Ren Collectible Figure

I don't get it either. It does look like SW, painfully so. what I find funny are all the people that made fun and shunned GL for his "it's like poetry, it rhymes" mentality with the PT, yet give this crap a compete pass. Matching Kylo/anakin scars, red guards, bald and scared "emperor"s, planet...

1/6 Hot Toys - Star Wars: The Last Jedi - Kylo Ren Collectible Figure

Wouldn't it just cut right through the floor? I hope he doesn't do this often or the construction crew is gonna get pissed. Then again, they probably follow him around with a full contingency fixing all the stuff he breaks, anyway.

    Hasbro appreciation thread.

No one got it... Anyway, I don't think they're allowed to do catalogs/card backs like that anymore. Some kind of law concerning advertising toys that won't be out within a certain time frame, I think. I guess it gives kids/stupid parents the notion that they are available and then they complain...
