Re: "The Event" NBC TV show.

It's really hard for my Mom to keep up with all the going back and forth with the timeline. I have to admit it's beginning to bug me as well. I hope this isn't going to be this way through the entire series.

I find it very easy to keep track of. There are like 4 timelines going on. You have your prequel, your sequel, now, and later. :lol

:lol I don't have a problem following it, but it's just getting old with me quick, probably because of watching years of LOST.

Re: "The Event" NBC TV show.

I like the time jumping.

One of the things that made LOST so great was the character development. The thing that made that level of character development possible was the off island/pre plane crash flashes.

Same thing with the flashes here. I hope they keep it up. :)

On another note, would anyone object to me putting "spoilers" in the thread title? The LOST thread was a spoiler thread. Only in the sense that we could freely discus episodes that had already aired. Anything outside of that was put in spoiler tags.

Would that be an okay arrangement here? It just makes discussion a lot easier.

Re: "The Event" NBC TV show.

I enjoyed the second episode so I guess I'll be hanging in for a while. The timeline jumping seemed less obnoxious this time. I was actually given time to get invested in the story before we started boucing around.

Re: "The Event" NBC TV show.

"my people have been waiting for 66 years... "

That would put it at 1944. Is this some alien invasion or human DNA experiment gone awry during WWII?

Still finishing tonights episode.

Re: "The Event" NBC TV show.

WOW! Im still on the fence, thinking maybe crap, and parts of it I roll my eyes, but so far, I really like.

Re: "The Event" NBC TV show.

I wasn't totally sold on the marketing of the show, and up until the day before the premiere I wasn't sure I was even going to watch it. Luckly I had some room on the PVR for Monday nights (one of the loaded nights for me) and I gave it shot... I gotta say, I'm pretty much sold at this point (especially after last nights episode). So I think I'm in for the long haul...

And *Spoiler* it up Mag!!

Re: "The Event" NBC TV show.

Another great episode this week. I have high hopes for this show!

The ending when everyone was waking up was: :panic: :rock

Re: "The Event" NBC TV show.

I would've been a lot more unnerved than that guy when they started waking up! :panic:

Alright, I changed the title to ward off those who have not been keeping up with the current episodes. As long as the episode has aired feel free to talk openly about it.

However, if you have any info about episodes that have not aired, please use spoiler tags as always. :)
