Apologies in advance for the huge reply!

I finally caught on your thread thinking I would see ome great statues, great pics and amazing display but I wasn't expecting awesome PJs and amazing drawing skills.

New Arrivals - TinTin

tintin7.jpg

I LOVE the classic Tintin!I've always wanted the one from Objectif Lune. Capitaine Haddock from the movie isn't bad either.
But you didn't put the comics in order!

AH! Lara Croft Ex 363/500

lara1s.jpg

So jealous of this one! I was on the waitlist for it but it didn't convert :'(

Cute Mickey Mouse Jammies!

Totally agree!

Droopy on Pillow by Demon et Merveilles

droopy4.jpg

Love Droopy! You know what? I'm happy.

Tex Avery Poker Scene

tex1w.jpg

That is awesome! I'm a huge fan of Tex Avery, I used to watch his cartoons on a loop as a kid. My favorite was the one with the city wolf and the country wolf.

Display till now...

group11.jpg

Wow! That's just gorgeous. The best display I've ever seen by far.

No place to display

mask1a.jpg

Is this Electric Tiki? I think I've seen it before but I can't remember. I'd love to see more 'Sssshowtime!'
I need to get me a Mask.

Ezio's Fury - Assassin's Creed
ac9a.jpg

I'm on the fence about this one. I think it's the best Assassin's Creed statue out there, I love the flow of it but it's pretty pricey and I'm not a HUGE fan of the series so I don't know.
Updated Spidey Display

group12.jpg
I really love the Spidey on the wall statue, the best ever made in my mind, but it's so big I'm not sure I will ever get it :/
The expression on the black spidey is great too.
D(i)ck Tracy - Electric Tiki (sorry mods but that is the name of this character and in no way I am trying to bypass the language filter.)

dick1.jpg

More pics on this will follow once it is displayed in the right place

This one is definitely on my to buy list, has been for a while. I LOVE the movie and I've actually been looking for a yellow trench coat for cosplay.

I also love the T-800 PF but I wish it was a statue cause I collect more 1/6 and 1/5 stuff.

Anyway as usual if there's one collection that keeps me coming back it's yours!

Firstly ':bow :bow'

Secondly 'Thank you' for patiently going through my thread updates.

I really appreciate your time and kind comments Drakul.

 • Starting with your first comment, I love TinTin but have you seen the updated display which has Thompson & Thomson added in? Because the one you quoted is the previous display. The updated one is on Page 31. And the comics I just arranged randomly :monkey3
 • Yeah Lara croft is a beautiful statue. You can still get it on ebay so be happy :)
 • The PJs are my favourites. I keep buying them and this particular one my wife got it for me :)
 • Droopy is awesome.
 • Tex Avery was hilarious. I remember few old cartoons I used to watch but the one you mentioned I am not able to recollect it from my memory.
 • The Mask is from Asmus Toys and it is 1/6th scale. You can buy it from ebay - Link Will post more Ssssmokin pics once I display him. :)
 • The Ezio statue is great if you are really a fan of this game series. But if not then better put your money on something else that you are into. It is always better to buy what your interest lies in.
 • Piece of advice, JUST GET THIS SPIDEY COMIQUETTE and trust me you won't regret. The statue is so good that you will be pleased to make special place for it. And the black spidey is cool too and not very big so guess that works for you.
 • D(i)ck Tracy is really nice. Here is the link as this is the lowest price on ebay - Link
 • The Terminator PF is amazing. I was totally amazed by the overall details and most important its resemblance to Arnie. I know space is a major issue for all of us but certain pieces are just too good to be missed.

Even my apologies for this long reply to yours. :)

I saw the update with Dupond et Dupont but like I said I'm a huge fan of the original comics so for me your piece from 'in America' is awesome.

I couldn't find the cartoon on Youtube but it's called 'Little Rural Riding Hood'
The Mask is a figure then... hmm I only collect statues so pass :)

Yeah Ezio I don't know, honestly I'd rather spend the smae amount on the Arthas statue :yess::yess:
Now Spidey, one thing I'll say is that if I ever get a statue of his, that will be the one.

Thanks for the link for the Dlck Tracy statue but I can't buy it right now. I just got laid off an bought a house pretty much on the same day so money's a bit tight.

Re: ☆☆☆ Pimpin My Shelves® 2011 ☆☆☆ 〖Updates - Page 60〗

Awesome updates on the drawing man. You do some amazing work. Can't wait to see this finished! :clap

I do like the classic TinTin and would love to collect all the classic figures one day. Hopefully soon. :duff

But I enjoyed watching the movie as well. So when Weta made the announcement of launching movie figures it was pretty much it. And Weta being in NZ, I save a lot on the shipping cost, it is as good as free shipping even for the express option.

Anyways wish you all the best and hope you get sorted out with your stuff soon. :)

Many thanks bro. The pastel stuff is taking a bit more time than charcoal and plus it is on A2 size paper so larger area to cover. My mistake I was thinking of A3 when I posted the first update of the drawing. Will edit the previous posts in sometime :)

Re: ☆☆☆ Pimpin My Shelves® 2011 ☆☆☆ 〖Updates - Page 60〗

I am thinking about posting one of my nude female drawings now. I really don't think it is too big of a deal since all it is, is just artwork.

Yeah I mean it is just pure art and not some sort of porn. It takes hours of efforts to do these things and they should not be considered obscene in any which way.

Here is a quick update on mine. Looking forward to yours.

Exactly. I completely agree.

Excellent update on the drawing. The shading is looking great. Are you planning on doing some sort of background on this?

Thanks bro. Haven't thought about the background as of now. But yes will surely decide after I complete sketching her. :)

Re: ☆☆☆ Pimpin My Shelves® 2011 ☆☆☆ 〖Updates - Page 60〗

I just love your setup. It is so vibrant. The colors, artwork, .. everything seems to be in place. How big is one square in your set-up?

Re: ☆☆☆ Pimpin My Shelves® 2011 ☆☆☆ 〖Updates - Page 60〗

That some serious talent Sir!

May I ask why are you draw this picture?

Re: ☆☆☆ Pimpin My Shelves® 2011 ☆☆☆ 〖Updates - Page 60〗

What is she going to be sitting on? Also, since you have the squares already there you could do a tile wall backdrop. I wouldn't do anything to majorly detailed, because you don't want the female to get lost in the picture or no backdrop will look great too. Just a suggestion. :)

Yeah I haven't seen the movie yet. I want to but I just can't watch it in English, it feels just... wrong.

Great update on your drawing btw!

Many thanks my friend. The sizes are slightly different from top to bottom. But to give you an idea I will tell you the measurement of the center square where I have my pin-up collection. It is H635mmxW600mmxD50mm :duff

Thanks Jay :lol

Thank you Sir. I am very moody when it comes to my artworks. I only draw if I feel like it. So same applies with this one. I felt like doing it :)

She is sitting on a rock. I am planning to give an outdoor effect to the background but as you correctly said I want the female to stand out and don't want to emphasize on the background that much. Maybe a similar effect to a low F-stop for blurry depth of field.

Using tiles as background is also a good suggestion which will make it look as if she is sitting either in the bathroom or kitchen. But now I can't do so as it will affect the overall pose.

Another option is to use some light pastel shades of color for the background elements. Even that will make her stand out. :)

Sorry my french is not good at all though I do understand some bits and pieces. So I could only watch it in English. :lol

Thanks for appreciating my work Drakul :duff

Re: ☆☆☆ Pimpin My Shelves® 2011 ☆☆☆ 〖Updates - Page 60〗

Thanks for the confidence Colossus. But this will be different from my prior Willy Wonka artwork. I changed my mind from doing this in charcoal and now will be using only 2 pastels (black and white).

And regarding your 'Pressing Hard Question', I prefer to reference my drawings. But before that I already have an idea and a vision in my mind of what I want. After that I start searching for some pictures. I have a few yearly subscriptions to some UHQ art photos which give me plenty of choice to find what I want. Once I am satisfied, I can move to the rendering stage. (This is not always a standard protocol which I abide by.)

And regarding a real Model, I have done a couple of nude photoshoots before but can't post the pictures as those were for project purpose only :monkey3

Good Answers; Sarvesh, I will be waiting with Baited Breath :wink1:

I am planning to do a good nude photoshoot just for my collection one day. Well be on a look out for a pretty face and beautiful body then. :wink1: Hopefully soon
