BBR makes a real nice 458 but its quite expensive and the doors don't open. I don't think the drunk or hood open either.

Yup 1/18 diecast is the most popular scale. Come to think of it AUTOart is like the Hot Toys of diecast models.

Not to mention their like $500. So you get a perfectly proportioned body and superb paintjob with no extra features. Just like a statue...

Yeah I picked up a AUTOart model. Pretty satisfied.

But I hate how they package their cars (design holes to accommodate for the wires). Wish they did it like Kyosho (which I also bought a car from recently) with the foam packaging. I think Kyosho is pretty comparable in quality too.

Looks like Hot Wheels is gonna do a 1:18 Ecto-1. Havnt seen a picture yet -but sounds cool.

I know this doesnt really have anything to do with diecast cars. However, I just wanted to share the news. Lamborghini has unveiled its new flagship successor to the Murcielago. Named the Aventador LP700-4. Putting out 700hp and featuring a complete carbon fiber monocoque.
My buddy that I get my 1:8 cars from tells me Amalgam has plans to build this in 1:8 also.

Not entirely carbon fiber, all panels except for the doors ar carbon...including the central cell. With 700hp this will have no problem moving that kind of weight even faster than the Murcielago.

There hasn't been any super car that made my heart skipped a beat for the last 10 years until I saw this new Aventador last night. Simply marvelous.
