Certainly looks like a repaint, it's completely the same sculpt as the Iron Man 1:2 scale maquette. If it is a repaint then how on earth did they customise the star arc reactor? :thud: I'm think it was done in photoshop...

The star looks like a sticker or decal places OVER the original arc reactor. There looks to be a curve to it and the hint of a shadow in the one pic.

guys.... this is from lw studio, you can buy it. They also have the mark ii. The company is hit and miss at times, i am not willing to take the risk, if anyone buys it feel free to post some actual in hand photos.

Just been on their website...theyve got some great stuff...im imagining they are all recasts though. I do like their BD Iron Man Mark III 1:1 bust with opening head visor, thats cool and it still has working light up eyes! Although i noticed that it doesnt allow you to add any item to your cart, nor does it list any prices...and finally, you have to be a bit weary of a company who's telephone number is 0123456789...im staying well away :panic:

However, i have done some researching and these pieces are actually for sale on eBay which might make it more reassuring as you are protected with eBay. The user name is luck-boy99.

Im tempted to purchase the Chrome Iron Man Mark II 1:1 bust with removable mask...that thing looks the nuts! On closer inspection of his Mark III clean version 1:1 bust you can tell by the eyes that its not a like for like replica, the eyes are missing the black detail inside the socket...

they have a youtube video on the removable helmet (skip to 1:50 where the lady actually takes it apart), it does look really cool. The mark 3 is definitely a recast i think, but iron patriot and even mark 2 has changed so much from the original mold, i dont know if you can still call them recasts. Either way the company is hit and miss from what I can tell, sometime they deliver really great results other times item came in painted badly or broken, and their customer service is no good. Definitely risky for such a large piece.

Very cool concept but if you look at the chin area in the last 10 seconds of the vid you can see that it is very poorly sculpted!

Robertobagg I'd love to see you take on an iron patriot paint job if only maquettes were cheaper

Id give it a go! :lol now that i've completed my Mark III 1:1 bust repaint, i cant see it being that difficult

Im seriously contemplating buying the Mark II 1:1 bust with the opening face plate. Love that! They have got quite a few cool things on their website
