Hmmm, so they seem to be replicating not only the Alien, but the museum base/case as well. I wonder if the base/case is included (as shown on display), or if it will just come with the base and not the actual display case part (acrylic panels, etc). Will definitely add a lot to the cost if it is all included, but would save me the trouble of having to make/buy one later on.

I would imagine the case isn't included. Not only will it add cost, but it would be a nightmare to ship also. Although who knows with CP. They may offer it as a separate item which could be cool.

Odds are you are correct that the case won't be included, but still it does seem like they went out of their way to create a base & display case that is an exact replica of the one found with the 1:1 prop in the museum. And there are many companies who make and ship display cases that you have to put together. The acrylic sheets can be wrapped and stacked with little worry about breaking (scratching is the only real concern if not protected properly), but I have purchased several sheets that way shipped via UPS with no problems. I guess we'll find out soon enough, but I won't be disappointed either way. It's a very well done 1:3 scale replica to say the least. Hoping I can swing it with so many other great pieces coming out soon by various companies. Great stuff!

I would prefer that they offer it separately...the maquette will be expensive and I prefer to encharge a case my self. Also, i am afraid about the shipping...

Looks very good but I hate the static pose.Would have loved a little movement in it.

We get now that the pose is a love or a hate thing. While I'd like another option with a little life injected, I adore this none the less and appreciate what they went for. I think people who pass this up for its pose might look back with regret later on if we don't see another version made to this standard of accuracy, which will be a big ask unless it is CP making another with the aid of Prime 1. This thing has the potential to be the greatest alien statue ever made.

In terms of shipping, I didn't necessarily mean delicacy. The statue will likely be broken down to allow for a smaller shipping box etc. The sheets of acrylic would be very large which would create added challenges and costs over what will likely already be an expensive item to buy and ship. I can't see it being included, but again, who knows. I wouldn't be surprised to see it as an option, I'd quite like one actually.
