It's the HD-1008, so my order does look correct. I've received another email from them after that one, which was somewhat interesting/strange. When I called the HD-1008 figure, a "Way Of The Dragon" figure, they replied back with this (only part of the email):
For your information, that's not the Way of The Dragon Figurine, just a standard Kung Fu Bruce Lee figurine.
It's interesting to me because we all know it's a "Way Of The Dragon" figure, but when I went & looked at the figures description on their website, their right, it doesn't actually officially say it's from the WotD movie. Licensing issues?
A standard Kung Fu BL figure .....
Weird.
Maybe the pants might be able to go over the leg ring, so it's hidden That would pretty cool actually
I'm pretty impressed with the promptness of EB's email replies. Maybe they upgraded? Anyway. I emailed them to see if Rovo Jin sculpted any of the sculpts. Answer:
Hi Larry,
The sculpts were both done by Scuderia, thank you.
There you have it
Not the best pic quality, but maybe somebody might pic up on something that I didn't, from the pic
Maybe they have exclusive rights to BL likeness, but have to pay extra each time for individual movie license's? Which I guess they didn't want to do. Cutting corners where they can, & still charging whatever price. The one and only reason this would not officially be a 'Way of the Dragon' figure and is instead 'standard Kung Fu Bruce Lee' is if Enterbay have lost control of the Lee movie licenses.
Why else ?
No problemMore great info thanks Lawrence!
So was that earlier fighting sculpt we were all drooling over a different one by Rovo Jin? .....or are they same just with different angles and lighting now ?
Thanks for posting Aemuse. If that's what I'm getting, I think I'll be happy with my purchase.
hmm, how many of you are NOT buying this BECAUSE it's lacking that one hand. If you had that open palm hand, would you have bought it...
