Unless it's already done, I kinda think it's a bit late for the open hand guys

& Chris, you might be able to sell the grouchy sculpt, if you purchased the set. Maybe buy the set, & sell the bits you don't need? Might make back some money that way

yer thats not a bad idea for Chris. am sure some guys want up grade their 1/4 HD statues,who might not buy this set. Stanlore already plan to put grouchy on his WOD HD statue. i might try it on my spare ETD HD statue.

I've already tried taking the head sculpt off of the WotD statue, it's on there pretty good, so I think I'll wait & see how you guys do it

Plus I'm unsure if it's compatible size & colour wise, so I don't want to ruin my WotD statue for nothing

i was gonna try ''grouchy'' on my old art asylum figure,i know the outfit wont be the right one,but it is is a big improvement look wise.but why arnt i liking the sculpt? i may buy (maybe after in hand pics)and part off MOST of it as i cant really do what i want to with it.i think trying to swap the heads from the hd statue and this is gonna be difficult,that head is well glued.

It's the HD-1008, so my order does look correct. I've received another email from them after that one, which was somewhat interesting/strange. When I called the HD-1008 figure, a "Way Of The Dragon" figure, they replied back with this (only part of the email):

For your information, that's not the Way of The Dragon Figurine, just a standard Kung Fu Bruce Lee figurine.

It's interesting to me because we all know it's a "Way Of The Dragon" figure, but when I went & looked at the figures description on their website, their right, it doesn't actually officially say it's from the WotD movie. Licensing issues?

Why is this comment not getting more play?

The implications of this are pretty interesting.
The one and only reason this would not officially be a 'Way of the Dragon' figure and is instead 'standard Kung Fu Bruce Lee' is if Enterbay have lost control of the Lee movie licenses.

Why else ?

I'm pretty impressed with the promptness of EB's email replies. Maybe they upgraded? Anyway. I emailed them to see if Rovo Jin sculpted any of the sculpts. Answer:

I can see myself happily leaving this on my shelf with that double numchuck pose. Awesome.


....for reasons I'm not entirely sure of, the joints work way better on this Lee figure than on the Rambo figure. I think it might be the upper arms. They are just not designed right on Rambo.

I don't know why I don't mind the joints on this figure either, considering how I feel about the EB Rambo. Maybe subconsciously, I'm giving BL a free pass, simply because it's BL

Maybe they have exclusive rights to BL likeness, but have to pay extra each time for individual movie license's? Which I guess they didn't want to do. Cutting corners where they can, & still charging whatever price.

Or maybe something's up, & that's why Blitzway could announce their plans for a BL statue?

No problem

I think the grouchy sculpt was always Scuderia. I think it was the calm sculpt that was rumoured to be Rovo Jin. The grouchy sculpt teased earlier on, simply has a superior paint job, but is basically the sculpt included with this release I think.

I got Joker & T-800, passed on Rambo because of the ugly joints (& passed on Batman because well, it's Batman). Nice that this time they include a shirt, even if hand joints are still ugly, but.. are they checking how high prices can go?

T-800 was $400 shipped, this one would be $435 while it's considerably less work on the clothing & accessories. If it's the second head that's justifying this (& we know it's not), I'd rather buy it with one head. For those who only display & hardly flip accessories, no need for 2 heads.
Also, great headsculpts as usual, but IMHO the eyes are still something that Hot Toys does better today.

Thanks for posting Aemuse. If that's what I'm getting, I think I'll be happy with my purchase.

I think it's a great figure. But I'm sure some here would agree with me, it still has it's issues.

For the price they're asking, those issues need to be addressed.

I refuse to buy 1/4 scale. Untill I win the lottery and can live in a mansion. The Bruce Lee figure is very nice though from EB.

People are posting on Enterbay and Bill's Facebook directly about the open palm hand being missing.

Bill is ticking 'like' on the comments .....at least he is aware.

Seems like a bizarre oversight by someone there. Not only is it the actual box art for the product, but I don't think an Enterbay (or Hot Toys) Bruce has ever shipped without that open palm hand.

May sound nit-picky to some but its one of the things turning me off buying this.
I don't repose much and this would be standing next to all my statue PFs.
I can deal with the showing joints since I can change it every 6months or so to another iconic Lee pose ....except one of the big iconic poses is missing.

if said hand was included and the eyes on the calm sculpt facing left,it would be pre ordered already.as with SAB some folks may call it picky,but without them you cannot replicate bruces iconic pose(that even the box artwork shows)
