Boy, for someone trying as hard as you have been to come off as sounding even halfway intelligent, you really seem to struggle with the basic concept of reading and gathering the facts. You might want to try that next time.

This is just one of several posts that I've made in this thread alone where I'm NOT defending recasting/recasters...

Does it use recast parts? It appears to be the case.
Have I ever defended recasting/recasters? No.
Do I need to justify myself in buying one of these? No, not really (especially not to you), but I decided to in order to pacify the situation. I like the pose just as much as my original exclusive and will end up displaying it next to my Cap, Thor, and Hulk.

Again, if you look closely at this little debate you're jumping into a little late, you'll find yourself grasping for anything to try and make a point. If trying to call me out on buying 1 of 50 pieces of a customized version of the original Sideshow comiquette helps you to sleep at night, I hope that it also sheds a little light on how empty and unfulfilling your life really is.

Buying a recast statue is the strongest possible statement defending recasting and recasters, because it is literally what supports it, except doing the recasting yourself.

Come on Jake, Do what Ed did with his Fake Iron Man comiquette....:lol:lol:lol

Oh hell no!!! :lol

Depending on how much I actually like the thing will be the deciding factor on whether or not I keep it. Judging by all of the pics I've seen so far, it's not going anywhere, but we'll see.

The more I look at it, the more I like it. The pose it what I really like about it... I love the original Sideshow piece, but it just doesn't look quite right next to Cap, Thor, and Hulk.

Let me add something.

From what I know, there is one shop in Singapore selling this statue and I strongly believe that they made this piece themselves.

That particular shop has been shunned by the local community as they have recasted alot of fake statues. Their notorious reputation has created a big fuss and made my country blacklisted and branded with other asian countries for producing fakes.

Collectors have told me Marvel has issued warnings to them but they are still practising this shady business (like you see in this thread).

I have to admit that the worksmanship is excellent. The sculptor definitely has a talent, but I just do not think it is right to sell unlicensed products such as this.

Yes, people have rights to decide and buy whatever they want. However, if you support recasters through this manner, you will only fund them even more and encourage them to do so in the future.

The sideshow iron man comiquette has created quite a chaos already, lets not make another situation happen knowing we all have a part to play and prevent this. (Thats why I bought the IM Comiquette from you jbinny, thanks once again!)

Simply, if there is a demand, there will be a supply.

i seen this statue, i liked it but the price tag is a bit to high for what i see, but in saying that, if you look at what else is available for the im collector, then i can see this selling for that kind of money.

i mean really, look at the piece of dog dung that ss have released, the "oh look at me i'm so stiff from the pole up my a**" classic comique. now look at this statue and tell me which you would perfer.

putting aside all the casting, recasting, legal, non-legal bs, Which would you rather have???

the sideshow classic IM exclusive with stiff pole kicks the pretender IM all over the place..simply speaking there is no contest at all.

wait and see what those guys do when they get hold of it...they will destroy the authentisity of sidehows new IM also:duh

New Sideshow IM does nothing for me.

Pretender > Pole

Recast or not, it's a real nice statue and I'm glad I own it! :D

you mean you haven't got it on order?

you'll be sorry when you see in hand pics and i'll supply some with him standing next to thor, hulk, cap!

i'll wait to see the in hand pics first, then MAYBE i might get the latest im from ss, MAYBE and highly doubtful.

maybe he'll look alot better up along with hulk, thor, cap and the others.
i'm sure he'll be up on second chance anyways, and if not i'll wait till the hype dies down, like what has happened with thor and he can be had for retail, and mostly likely less than retail for this classic im from ss.

also without checking doesn't the latest im from ss have a much larger es than thor?? and thor was widely praised, while im is widely dished.
