1/4 Scale Frodo!!!

I think this new comparison shot by RoboDad may actually be closer to the correct scale. Remember that in TTT, there's a scene where Merry and Pippin actually run underneath a standing horse. That's got to be under 4 ft. for sure.

One thing I do know is that Lurtz is looking better and better to me...

That pic looks about right to me and not too small.Think of the Uruk's carrying Pippin and Merry in the TT- they are tiny in comparison.

I agree. I think that second pic is pretty darn close. It's not perfect, but it's closer than before.

With all the action in the movies I think frodo and sam got the least.
Frodo for the most part holds the ring and battles in himself which the weta statue captures well. I think the only time sting slays an orc is in the hands of sam and the only real action frodo has (apart from being stabbed by the witch king and that lovely cave troll) is with shelob and all thats more running away than real fighting.

The best action pose for a weathered and worn frodo would probably be with sting in one hand and the Phial of Galadriel in the other faced with shelob.

I think Frodo kills an orc in the Mines of Moria scene. That's about it.

I think that would be a great action pose for Sam with Sting and the Phial of Galadriel but not Frodo. When he first shined the light of Galadriel's Phial on Shelob, he wasn't even holding Sting. He was only holding both as he was running away from Shelob.

What's sad is the only time Frodo is threatening is when he had Sting to Sam's throat in Osgiliath.

I still would have liked to have seen a statue of a weathered and worn Frodo inside Mount Doom staring at the ring as he held it over the edge.

My number one most wanted pose for the Sam PF figure would be him holding up Sting and the Phial of Galadriel when confronting Shelob. Now that Frodo is holding Sting, I think we can forget about Sam having that pose. Sam and Frodo belong together, but they can't both be holding Sting. What is the next best pose for Sam?

Maybe we can expect a "Sam Under the Elven Cloak" statue gag on April Fool's Day this year, with a big rock on a base.

That would look pretty cool I couldn't think of any other pose for sam. Only the one were sam holds 2 swords (incl. sting) to rescue frodo.
The pose with the frying pan could be the one because that's also in moria.
Or mayby him with bill the pony

I'm not collecting the PF's because I dont have the space, but this smaller Frodo means a definete YES for me... and Im glad I didnt get the Weta version now.

In the other thread I posted my photoshop effort that matches Frodo with Lurtz, with what I believe is an accurate size comparison. I think Frodo looks really good, and it just gets better the more I look at it.

I think that comparison looks great, and more on scale than the second, smaller
one that you did RD. Having said that though, Lurtz far and away is my favorite
over frodo at this point. Frodo's face still doesn't seem spot-on likeness-wise.

If there is no exclusive, I guess he is...if there IS an exclusive...then no....
They wouldn't put Han up and Frodo on the same day if they BOTH had exclusives....
I got the HAN e-mail today and the Wolverine e-mail.....No Frodo. ...so I guess he does't have an exclusive....or he is NOT going up until Toy Fair!
