One thing I have noticed is that it is very difficult to get SS figures to hold up their own arms. Every movement is very cumbersome on a SS figure and takes a lot of patience to accomplish.

Posing to look natural is definitely much faster with a HT body. It also helps that HT bodies can stand on their own without effort.

OK Justin I have to say this. I am officially worried about you. I have never seen so many naked dolls in my life. I think at least half of your pics are of naked ones.

A-ha! So it's Sideshow's hips and midsection articulation that's killing the ability to strike a "lifelike" stance.

We should have started with naked figures. Better yet, maybe different companies' bodies with the same heads and dressed in the same clothes.

... though I did cheat and use a stand for one shot (but if I'd tightened her ankle balls and didn't have a cat wanting to bunt everything in sight with a patience I could've managed without).

I'm wondering if another factor contributing to the Buck's awkwardness in acheiving likelike stances is actually something people praise them for... those sculpted hands. Yes, works of art... but the claw like poses on the 'default' hands tend to make any pose look weird. I'm sure a couple of my Scully shots would've looked better if I'd bothered to look out some Cy Girl relaxed hands.

LOL All of these photos are reposts from back in December on the day I received the Hot Toy bodies. I never really noticed them as being 'naked'. Just looks like plastic to me.
