Great pics qbomb!

I just paid for the ST and SS Dewback, can't wait to get my hands on them :)

Thanks Moriaman. Congrats on the purchase. Please share pics with the Dewback. I am thinking I may flexpay the Dewback before he is gone. I have so much on order right now with DX Luke, and the 89 Bats and Joker.

I know what you mean, every month seems to consist of juggling my money around to pay for figures or statues :rotfl
From pictures the Dewback looks awesome,i'd flex it if i were you :wink1:

I'll be posting pics once i recieve them, should be next week hopefully :impatient:

i PO'd through a local Aus Etailer for the Sandy and the Dew-$495 shipped in Aus.
Bummed that i sold off my 2 Squad Leaders and 1 Sgt...but what can ya do??
Am hoping down the line i will pick up a 2nd Sandy...and i really do wish Sideshow would make another Stormtrooper ;)

Yo Moriaman

Where did you get yours? Interested to know where the folks in the UK got them.

FB sent mine for a reasonable price.

I have a question about the base for the people owning the trooper. What is the "sand" made of? It looks lik it's just some sandpaper on a regular base :cuckoo:

And not really that great. Some copydex on a stand then pour some sand over would look better.

I got mine from a member here,Microdragon,he has a website, check out the dealers section here, its the 4th time buying from him and i can't recomend him enough, top notch service :wave

I want to get another desert trooper and repaint it brand new. My only concern is how I would repaint the blue grill on the helmet. It's not indented and hand paint would not look good. You guys have any suggestion?

If you are still looking to do this, I did something the same with mine, I used tamiya paint thinner on a cotton wool bud and scrubbed the beige wash/weathering pattern away with it. The paint the grills etc are done in are either under this or more resilient, as only after a hard accidental scrubbing did 1 little bit start to fade, there was a clear difference between the thinner removing the wash/weathering and actual painted details so its easy to do without any error, i just got complacent :p.

The tamiya thinner is just the right strength. At £5 a bottle though it may not be cost effective if you aren't gonna use it for painting, not sure if they do smaller pots though.

edit: doing this on the whole of the rest of the armour is going to be too labour intensive, so I just resprayed it white, and used a watered down mix of gryphonne sepia + thraka green (games workshop washes) to make the pure brilliant white spray paint match the more normal white plastic of the cleaned helmet. It all sounds a bit painty now, but it is really easy!

Just ordered mine, cannot wait to get it and set it up in the home/work office.

I like the look of the dirty Stormtrooper over the clean ones.

Great pictures in this thread...

Just got this guy... And struggling to assemble it all. Help?
1. Pulled helmet off and attached cycle filter and black cylinder to both sides of backpack.
2. Attached one triple magazine to each side of his belt.
3. Backpack secure with magnet but how did you guys tie and conceal the straps? I inserted top strap through top hole of the belt loop that's connected to the bottom strap. And I understand I can thread it through the bottom loop to tighten, but how do you then conceal it?

4. Attach shoulder ammo pack to his left side while putting pauldron onto his right shoulder by snaking it through arm.

Done... But then where does this small black bag/pouch go? On his belt too? I can't seem to see it in any of your pictures.

Yeah... mine arrived today... just opened and put it in the stand.

How do I put all of this crap on? I need a cool pose too... I have to look through this thread for the PERFECT pose.

I am going very basic on mine... no backpack, two guns, shoulder pad and one belt pocket...

I like this thing... I am happy with my purchase.
