I received my 1st marmit Stormie the other day, it depresses me how bad it makes the SSC ones look

The SSC is better in terms of quality & articulation but marmit owns it in terms of sculpt.

I have the Marmit Sandie but haven't had it out in ages. And I was considering getting the SSC desert sands Sandie, but then I got all the guns/rifles it comes with really cheap so was considering just sticking with my Marmit and using the new guns (Marmit just comes with a regular Stormie blaster.)

A buddy said the armor sculpts on the SSC are much crisper/sharper (and a better quality plastic) than Marmit, but then I think Dorgmal Snow mentioned that the leg armor on all the SSC troopers is wrong (thigh armor too long or something, not sure what else.)

Always said this but, you can't really knock the Marmit kit for quality since it came out in 2000.

Yea, the SS one is all kinds of wrong in various areas yet still it passes barely in my book.

Did you acquire this Marmit Stormtrooper from Ebay?, i did see a MIB one on there not too long ago..i believe this figure comes with the hero style helmet.

The SSC weapons are better for sure, not sure about the backpack, best bet is to get a better body for the marmit & add a few SSC elements

That wasn't the one from the "SS" (as in Nazi) seller name? That was one of the more questionable seller names I've seen on eBay!

Yep thats the one, was a local too, turned out to be a good bloke,
not a nazi just has a interest in history so it turned out, just a collector like the rest of us.

Power to those that dig the SSC Stormies / Sandies certainly, but having owned the Sandie Corporal previously, my dislike of them is justified. When I first got it, I quickly had it set up on my desk to enjoy it. I'd look at it everyday - & as time passed, I just wanted to sell it the more I looked at it - glad I did. The backpack strap design was complete rubbish too.

The Marmits are awesome - doing a kitbash mod of the two sounds like a cool thing to attempt, but I don't have the time or the patience these days. My wish is that HT makes a Stormie or Sandie at some stage.. one can hope anyway.

Hey guys Ive been thinking of getting a Stormtrooper/Sandtrooper but I cant decide on which one to get. Was wondering if any certain one was the "better" one to get. I like this Sandtrooper's look and I can get this one now for cheap compared to the others but just want to be sure. Any info would be great! Thanks!

I personally went for the sandtrooper. I'm sure they'll eventually release an updated Stormtrooper.

Geeeeet iiiiiiiiit. The Sandie is a great value for all that you get. Get it while they are so cheap. The stormie is going for around $200 now and for that price you could almost get two Sand Troopers.

Thanks after seeing them side by side like this I love the more grittier look of the Sandtrooper. Now with this and Fett on the way Im really excited!! Still would like to pick up Momaw Nadon too...
