Sculpts are looking a bit better in these latest pics. And Capaldi seems to have his angry attack eyebrows back.

Although I don't remember him ever wearing those lace fingerless gloves on the show...

It's his bandaged hand from The Doctor Falls episode.

The new Capaldi fig is growing on me more...but again will the production piece match up to the proto?

I’ll go so far as to say those two look pretty amazing there. I’d like a little more white/contrast in Capaldi’s hair, but that’s not a big deal and an easy fix.

11 looks like he got punched in the face. 12 looks a bit better there. I think the red under the eyes is what makes him look like he's hasn't slept in a week

I'm liking 12 more and more. I won't upgrade my 10 & 11, but I think 12 is a lock. Even if he's not perfect, I want him. And I prefer this look to the original figure's. 9 I can wait a bit for, his design was just too non-Doctory for me, even if I really enjoyed Eccleston.

I was never fond of that costume either, not eccentric enough and looked too much like a nightclub bouncer.

But i guess it worked for the Time-war story line...

Yeah, I kinda get it, and it was supposed to be a bit more "hip" to get the show started again, but it's not a memorable enough look for me to want ASAP. I'll get a 9 eventually, but I've got other priorities. I'll probably jump on this Deluxe 12 version, but I'll hold off on "upgrading" the ones I have already. The first 11 is very rough, so I could in theory use the newer version, but his 7B was always my favourite look and I've got that already, so... 10, I've got the version with signature so I already feel as if I have the "Grail" figure of the 10th Doc. I could be tempted, but it's the exact same look, just with a different shirt, so I'll most likely skip it again.

Great to hear he is back. Might bring back some of the fan base. Wasn’t impressed by Chibnalls run personally - hopefully now there will be some better stories with whoever ends up being the fourteenth Doctor...just hope that someone is picked who can do a good job in the role.

RTD returning sounds more like desperation than anything else. The lore of the show has been destroyed and there's nothing he can do to save it now...Unless of course he grows a pair of balls and goes back in time and reinstates Capaldi's Doctor for another few seasons, having him waking up from the awful nightmare of political Wokeness we've had to endure under Chibs!
Sadly that won't happen...but if it did i for one would be dancing with joy...just like the good Doctor himself:)

:goodpost: That would be so awesome so having him back!! I for one would love it. Maybe they should have you as the showrunner instead! :lol Whilst I'm happy RTD is back I do fear a bit that the show may now be beyond saving...still suppose there is nothing to lose now, just wish they'd retcon that ridiculous (IMHO) Timeless Child nonsense.

Yeah that was some surprising news. I didn't enjoy RTD's run nearly as much as Moffat's, but it was certainly a lot better than what we got from Chibnall. I just wish Jodie could have benefitted from some of that better writing.

I think it's the exact opposite. I think he was hired to get the show back to being a big hit series, with a regular schedule and setup a system to cultivate writers and groom future showrunners. I'm sure he wasn't cheap to get back and he's no doubt going to ask for total control. I see his return as the BBC investing in the shows future, not to send it off.

We know he has far more control this time seeing as it's his own production house Bad Wolf who is in charge, rather than the BBC. (has that every happened before?)

Not on the main series, as far as I know. Some of the animated episodes have been done by different companies but this is a first for the show.
