I have no reason to be upset.

My pre-order vendor informed me delays to due manufacturing.

I'm just cautioning on how something simple can suddenly be taken out of context and spread like wildfire. It happened before. Nothing like mob mentality when it comes to anything delayed.

Wonder if there’s any update with this figure. I posted on the company’s Facebook page a while back but they never replied. Still kind of curious about it in spite of my feelings towards the show.

My final flex was just bumped on SSC from July 15 to Aug 15.

It’s not that late. It was announced last June. The only question mark is the fact this company is an unknown.

Just received notice from SSC that my final flex was bumped again, August 15 to September 15.

This is still on my radar but it’s turned into a “wait and see” release. If it looks good then maybe I’ll consider it. Still pretty put off by New Blood though so I’m not sure.

I can't believe they haven't shared a single update... When are they going to learn that even a simple, "we're still in progress" at least calms the waters. Just so we know it's still happening. I was initially going to wait because I didn't think the headsculpts were as great as they could be (despite being a huge Dexter fan), but when they shares those in-hand photos, I thought whatever changes they made were phenomenal. I just want him on my shelf! I have a whole detolf shelf prepared with all custom backdrops and such ready to make his kill room.

Haven't decided what I'm going to do with Miami Metro Dexter yet. Maybe a crime scene with all the spatter string. And of course I wish we got some more characters. Trinity would be an ideal choice but I wonder if he's particular about his likeness. I don't think I've ever seen anything from him produced besides the Trinity Bobblehead C'mon Flash Back!

Exactly. I'm so hoping it comes out anywhere near the "latest" photos they shared. The HS looks much better than the original proto pics imo. But as we all know, its pretty easy to show another headsculpt and say that's the an actual sample. Asmus pulled that crap with the Ash Henrietta swearing up and down they were showing us one they pulled from a random completed batch...and we all know how that hairless wonder turned out (prior to them doing their fix after the met Mr. Fan).

My biggest concern is that with a new company, you risk them overextending themselves. They want to nail this figure as much as possible so they can start off good and not have to hit the reset with a new name (possibly again), so they keep going back and trying to fix things until they run out of money and then they start cutting corners elsewhere. Another example of basically what happened with Asmus and Ash with the chest wound. It definitely looks like they tweaked the headsculpt moreso than just a new paint job.

Heck, for all we know they recieved the headsculpts back and it was a massive shitshow which lead to the new sculpt with new paint app instructions. I just wish we had SOME indication of what's been happening. Be nice if they updated their social media. Be even better if they had a representative on here like many others do. COVID notwithstanding, this has been a significant delay

What are you seeing in the latest photos that looks better than the proto?

Disregarding the color cast and lighting conditions, they look pretty similar to me. I think maybe the hair color is lighter. Other than that it looks like your standard 'proto to production' transition to me, standard loss of fine detail in the hair and stubble ... or it's just that the lighting conditions in the latest photo are washing out the detail in the stubble.

I'm seeing the eyes not looking so much like they're crossed. In the original photo he looks more like Shawn Ashmore than Hall to me. I don't see it as a standard 'proto to production' situation because I think it looks better than the proto, not a loss in details as usual. I also think the eyes in general look smaller than they do in the latest and sort of beady. I just overall see much more Michael C. Hall in the latest than I did in the proto. The lighting in the latest shots is definitely a contributing factor to some of what you mentioned. Definitely washed out. Id like to see more from them, but I definitely see an improvement.
