Re: Movie accurate 1/6 Joker socks

LOL....movie accurate joker socks. Cause when you show off your figures you really lift up the trouser/pants(for the people of u.s.) to let them know how OTT you are....come on man no ones even gonna see the socks and @ £15 dollars !!!! You can buy so many packs of real socks for that price, I mean yeah I know people want really accurate figures but how far is too far ?

Hi, no need to buy. Everybody has the right for his own opinion. I believe I have been friendly here and never talked anyone into something. I have said it myself 15 $ is not cheap but I have also explained why and how this price is the price I ask.
I do this for fun if you want to join, youre welcome, if not, feel free to post here but PLEASE do not poison this thread by sarcasm or anything else. Thanks. :duff

Re: Movie accurate 1/6 Joker socks

It's more crucial for the Nurse Joker [bare legs you know] and for anyone who is doing an interrogation scene joker, or a sitting one. For when you can actually see it.

:exactly: :goodpost:
It's great someone is finally getting the colors right.

Seriously dude. Look what happened to Bobbyc's thread. That was a thread I really enjoyed. Now it's closed because of attitude like this.

Hold on their cowboy...am not trying to diss anyone here. Am just saying movie accurate socks ? Just one of them posts you look at and say WTF. I do understand people who want to get everything right and they have resort to doing this because the companies can't or won't make the figs accurate enough. Carry on with the business...its a great thing to do for people who want the best representation of their fav characters in 1/6th form.

I've seen a lot of Bobby C's work...quite good stuff...how come the thread got closed down ?

Because people started bickering about the price and how its going over the top and that in some people's opinion the HT jokers were just as good or better..LOL.

But yeah, some of us are mad about movie accuracy, particularly when it comes to a fan favourite character like Heath's Joker. And if anyone has a really top quality Joker head (like Bobby's or Adam's) then it deserves movie accurate clothing to go with it.

That's my opinion and many people share it - if you don't agree that's fine :peace

I agree, ppl with said heads now have figures in a class of there own. So why not just go the extra mile and have a great sculpt but complimented with great and accurate clothing.

That's my opinion and many people share it - if you don't agree that's fine but most likely you don't have the same love for the character as those that are obsessed with accuracy. :peace

I don't think it's so much as not having the same love for the character to be honest. Joker has always been my top favorite villain. But, I think when it comes to TDK Joker one must consider the difference between screen accuracy and actual costume accuracy. In this case of the socks both are equal. But for those who have the orange lining and blue blazers, that's what I consider costume accuracy. But when watching the movie, the lining does in fact look more red than orange and the blazer doesn't look blue IMO so I consider HT to be more screen accurate where as many of the ppl here are going for costume accuracy.

I'm personally just happy with HT clothes but yet I still share the same love of the character. I don't think whether or not one wants to be 100% costume accurate should be a determinate on whether or not they have as much love for the character as someone else. :peace

^ Agreed Gipetto - yes I would temper my comment on the 'same love of the character'. I definately notice that the orange lining is not that apparent on screen. But I think the blue of blazer is noticeable.

It really depends on what reference material you have...I have loads of screen caps and set photography, (including the promo shots) and after a while I just accept that look as the default, intended appearance. If you were soley basing your opinion off watching the film, you would see it slightly different....to each his own. :peace

When I watch I usually notice the blazer but not so much the coat liner...even in some of the photos it has a reddish look to it.

Re: Movie accurate 1/6 Joker socks

Nice pics Penny. Did not have these yet. No, no finished sock yet as I am still over my books. I believe I will have to stay here until midnight, so I am not sure if I will be able to do them today. Sorry, I just have to reach my daily aims to become well prepraed for oral exams... 1156 pages left, exams are on Nov 22... :lol

Re: Movie accurate 1/6 Joker socks

Yeah - I love how the hair got progressively longer (except the interrogation scene which sits oddly in the middle but the hair is the shortest, it was the first Joker scene that was filmed), and the clothes get progressively more soiled as the movie goes along

I've been collecting any/all TDK photography I can get my hands on since '07. Assorted places on the web, but a lot of the set photography came from a user on SuperHeroHype named Andre@s.

Heh, me too.

Takes up most of my harddrive. :lol

Re: Movie accurate 1/6 Joker socks

Finished the first full sock tonight. Unfortunatly I did a counting mistake in the pattern which makes the socks too long. I had to cut them in shape which I dont like. I will have to order another pattern for the full socks, but it is allright for the tubes. Hopefully pics will be uploaded tonight, but dont bet on it. More likely tomorrow as girl has camera with her.
