I would think 85 Doc will show, but as the part2 DeLorean and Marty is now at show and in process, it ended up first with future Doc...maybe...

Well the shirt that Doc wore in Alt 85 , he made as a mask in the west, so that goes to show that his Alt 85 look was really significant.

I'll be honest it's a let down, sculpted hair is horrible for this. I had Dchungs and the boots had like red parts splattered on them with a sculpted box thing kinda hard to explain. The back of the shoe's had an antenna and the socks were like a funky design.

The hair was real and worked bloody well for this.... the hair on this restricts how you have the glasses not to mention if removable will leave 2 horrible eye drawing holes.:slap

Just my 2 cents but compare it to this custom that's years old and it blows hot toys away.

Here's Dchungs Doc take a look..... Sadly I was forced to sell this after I had a rather bad experience with Dan, put me right off buying from him. It's a shame how artist work can be tainted with hate when they refuse to give good customer service.

Well.

I like it.

But wish someone would take that visor off. We'll probably have to wait half a year for any publicity photos from Hot Toys and another year before it's released to purchase. Marty on the other hand, what a joke (with the same sculpt I mean).

I think it looks good from what can be seen. I'd like to see the face without the visor on too though. Personally I'm glad they went with sculpted hair in this case. For some reason I always think male figures with rooted hair look odd.

Sculpted with a hair like Doc (volume and light color) makes it look like a chunk of plastic, so it's a pity they didn't went with rooted.

I generally like sculpted hair and I was initially happy to see that they went with sculpted hair on this figure, but after looking at it, I think rooter hair may have been the better route. The sculpted hair on this figure looks more like his 1955 hairstyle, which was more brushed back. His 1985 hair was more wild, which rooted hair would better capture.

I'D Pay good money to see Docs GOOGLY EYES under those shade's. I still think it be nice to have poseable eyes for him, if done correct.

I see customs peeps adding hair plugs to him already in the future.

Some people like it. Some don't. I've seen some bad rooted hair. I thought the DChung figure pulled it off though. I feel like if the rooted hair would have worked well on 1 figure, it would have been Doc since his was poofy and crazy anyway.

I don't think the sculpted hair looks too bad. I'll be able to judge better when I see a picture of the head without the glasses.

Doc Brown is one of the only characters that rooted hair would work well with since the entire problem with rooted hair is it being unruly and all over the place.

Really love the expression they've gone with (at least what we can see of it at the moment).

And while a great customizer could have made the rooted hair look great and make it appear gradually blended into the scalp, I have a feeling HT would have just had a clean line there instead. Which isn't usually that obvious on female figures with long hair but would have been really ugly and hard to miss on Doc.

When it comes to rooted and sculpted hair, I generally stick with the Barbie and Ken rule: Rooted hair for females, sculpted hair for males.

Now of course, there's always exceptions; it just depends on the hairstyle and the character. There's some female figures where sculpted hair looks better than rooted and some male figures where rooted hair looks better than sculpted. Generally, I'd say the longer the hair, the more likely it should be rooted. However, this isn't always the case. For instance, Thor has longer hair, but I think sculpted hair looks better than rooted hair.

It just really depends on the sculpt and the hairstyle as mentioned. In this particular case, I think rooted hair may have possibly been a better route to take for Doc.

These is the quintessential BTTF for me. If I had the cash to splurge these would be it.

This displayed next to the ghostbusters set from blitz way would be the creme de la creme :drool

Yep. BttF II and the Blitzway Ghostbusters are all I need to complete my childhood. Christopher Reeve Superman, Star Wars, BttF (II being my favorite) and the Ghostbusters I watched constantly.
