FAR better- I really hate it- looks like a statue hair sculpt....

I suppose if you compare it with a pic of the real thing, but on it's own I think it works really well.

I also think rooted hair on Doc next to the sculpted hair of Marty would have stood out way too much and looked really odd. I'd rather have a more consistent look if they're going to be standing next to each other.

I agree, I like the sculpted look, its a day one PO'd for me.

Like the one fig I wanted to see the eyes :gah: Christopher Lloyd got great crazy eyes, still remember him in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.

Moveable eyes like on The Hulk would be interesting. Though I doubt we will get that?

Is it possible that Hot Toys is trying to avoid paying Chris Lloyd his fee for likeness rights? Maybe the visor is not removable. If that is the case, no way I will buy this. As it is I'm far from happy with the expression. The open mouth is way to scene specific or in this case, poster specific.

I for one was hoping for a radiation suit Doc with Delorean remote.

I highly doubt this has anything to do with Christopher Lloyd. It probably simply isn't looking how they want it yet. The bad news here is with the proto still incomplete and tons of other stuff with a higher priority I am guessing we get this in hand late 2017/early 2018.

Yup. It`s Barry Weiss!

Even if the visor was affixed to the sculpt and the eyes were covered, I still believe they would need rights to his likeness still, being that they're still modeling the face on his. Even with Batman and Captain America figures where at least 60% of the face is masked, they're still basing the remaining visible face on the actor's likeness.

Hmm now that I look at different pics, I really would have preferred Doc in his train shirt instead. That and the future glasses would have been a much cooler combo, I think:

I sold my pt. 1 Marty because I didn't think we'd ever get a Doc. I'm so happy to be wrong. Pt. 2 is my favorite in the trilogy so this is just icing on the cake. I get to have my personal favorite look for both of these characters on my shelf. That said, I do hope they don't go with the same HS for Marty as the pt. 1 figure. I know that's what is on the prototype, but I'm really hoping that's just a placeholder until the new sculpt is finalized/approved.

Actually, what bothers me the most so far is the clothing...looks very stiff and unnatural....

Just rewatched Part 2 and 3 on TV. A young Biff, 1955 Doc, wild west Marty and Doc need to happen. George McFly would be a bonus, but I doubt Crispin Glover would green-light it.

With regards to a BttF Doc, I'd actually prefer a 1985 Doc in the white radiation suit with the remote control for the DeLorean. Him next to Marty with the camcorder would be classic.

Yeah, that's the iconic look that I want - but I guess the headsculpt is now done, and so there'll be custom suits (or HT themselves might do a reissue.)

The problem with the outfit that's on him is it has that cheesy "what 80's people thought the future would look like" vibe. I know it was meant to be cheesy to some degree, but it's just not my favorite look.

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Slow down on the expectations. What do you line think this is, Iron Man? :lol

Now we can wait 1-2 years for this to go up for PO.......means nothing that they showed it at SDCC:gah:
