Yes of course I've seen BTTF2, but in my defence it was quite a long time ago as a child and references to American sports, TV, popular culture etc would go right over my head. I wouldn't have had a clue what sport the Cubbies played let alone their personal story so there was no reason for that reference to stick with me like it would for those raised in America.
It's pretty insular to think that joke would travel to a 90s English kid Ask people in England who the Cubs are and 95% would have little idea even today let alone in the 80s-90s.
