1/6 Hot Toys Alien: Romulus - Rain Carradine

In fairness. I plan to get two for that exact reason. The sculpt and body can make for a TLoU movie Ellie was my planning.

It's tempting as I have two of Toys Era's (long delayed) HBO Ellies on pre-order, though I don't know whether the sculpt would work as well for TLOU as the hairstyle and her age are more TLOU2.

If I decapitated one of the Rains the remainder of her wouldn't have much purpose except as the base for a generic character.


I just want her to go up for pre-order.

Yeah it’ll be a part 2 Ellie custom. Sculpt and hair is perfect to me. But yeah I would assume the Toys Era Ellie releases next year although we haven’t seen any photos like their Joel yet.

I thought the movie was fine enough. Everything with not-Ash was embarrassing to watch. I don't watch movies at home at all anymore, so chances are I will never watch it a second time.

But I would 100% buy this figure based on aesthetics alone. Bring it on HT.

I wonder if their PO numbers were lower than expected for the Scorched alien and as a result they decided not to expand the line any further than the one. Hopefully that isn’t the case, but I know there were some that said they were going to wait for a possible Big Chap release down the line.

I was only going to PO the Scorched Xeno if this was announced tbh. I’ve ate enough NRDs in 2024 that I’m just not doing it anymore so I’ll pick it up on release if Rain is announced.

That’s fair, I’m more cautious with orders now since I too suffered a fair few NRDs when I first got into collecting.

2024 was a rather uninteresting year for releases for me so il be jumping on this figure day one… if it ever goes up.

It would be sadly ironic if they cancel this because scortch doesn’t sell. When the reason it won’t sell is that he doesn’t fit with other figures and would sell far better with Rain available . They should have released RVSP together if that was the case and then make a choice on both or nothing.

Rain is one of the factors that I didn’t make a decision to make a deposit on the Scorched Xeno. I was actually thinking of getting Rain first and then Scorched as an add on.

Now that Scorched is now up first, things have changed and if Rain doesn’t get solicited, I might end up getting her when she gets made (by a 3rd party company or when she’s officially up for grabs on Sideshow).

It's a no-brainer for me. You pre-order Rain, then pre-ordering Scorched becomes that much more irresistible - especially if Rain doesn't come with a facehugger. That little guy is a must as far as I'm concerned.

Hoping this goes up for PO soon because I love the Alien franchise, but let’s be honest—it’s not exactly the most exciting outfit to have in 1/6 figure format. Head sculpt looks quite good though.
