Figures we need but will likely never get…
I’d die for Jayce and Viktor. I can see VI happening in some point. These companies are just insane for not jumping on Arcane.Figures we need but will likely never get…
Ekko with the mask on and the hoverboard is like the coolest design from the show. Would look so sick in the display.Echo and Jayce needs to be made but let’s be honest, Vi being made is the very least thing they’ll do. Lines up with what they did with their League license. Do Cosbabies of Ashe and Kaisa, only do 1/6 figures of those two. Same situation here with Jinx and Vi.
If JND got the license you'd be paying $500+ for a basic 1/6 figure.Arcane was an absolutely amazing series. It has become my favorite animated show of all time, and probably in the top 10 series period. I don't know anything about LoL lore, but my son and one of my nephews are pretty big fans. Unfortunately, Hot Toys is probably the worst company to Riot could have given the 1/6 license to. Sure, the sculpt quality will likely be excellent, but these are 3D files. So it's mostly about overall art direction and the production pipeline.
For now, I'm holding on preordering Jinx as I'm not interested in a one and done. While it's possible HT could surprise everyone and actually produce a line of figures, their track record would suggest maybe 2 or 3 figures (one of those probably a tease that never sees the light of day) followed by crickets. I'm pretty significantly scaling back what pieces I'm picking up these days due to constant rinse and repeat and out of control prices, but I'd probably go down the rabbit hole with an Arcane line.
It's too bad the license didn't go to JND or Queen. In the case of either of those companies, I think not only would they produce at least 5-6 characters, they'd offer an assortment of options and multipacks.
This would be my JND/Queen list (HT would never come close):
2nd Wave
- JINX/POWDER—kid Powder, late teen Jinx, alt universe Powder, final battle Jinx (Special bonus: Isha)
- VI—teen Vi, young adult Vi, enforcer Vi (other looks?)
- EKKO—kid Ekko, Firelight Ekko, alt universe Ekko, final battle Ekko
- CAITLYN—Enforcer, General
- JAYCE—Hextech visionary, h#llscape
- VIKTOR—HexCore visionary, reborn prophet/healer, final stage
- MEL—Council, Magic armor
- AMBESSA—Battle armor
- VANDER/WARWICK
- SILCO—Zaun, alt universe
- MYLO & CLAGGOR—teens, alt universe young adults
- SEVIKA (slot machine arm)
- SINGED (music box and partial mechanical daughter)

Not when they're charging $400 for a "basic" version of a figure under their own line, with sculpted hair. Licensed figures would definitely have an increased price. For rooted hair, yes. Which I'd be okay with. However, I'm sure sculpted hair would be quite a bit less.
Alternatively, Riot could have gone with someone like ThreeZero or Asmus.
When it comes to this line, get those two names out of your ****ing mouth! For rooted hair, yes. Which I'd be okay with. However, I'm sure sculpted hair would be quite a bit less.

I just took a look at my pictures, and it looks like I've had She-Hulk posed with her arms bent since November 9th. I will probably take my first look after the new year with one of the arms. If that still looks good after 2 months, then I will probably take my next look in the summer.Would appreciate if you post your results. You're right, though, the Hellboy and She Hulk really do feel different compared to old school Gamora etc. Those almost feel like slightly softer hard rubber rather than squishy silicone. I recently moved and found a silicone spatula wedged under my oven in an extreme bend. When I threw it in the sink it just sprung back to its original shape. Although, not all silicone is the same. Hopefully, Hot Toys opted for high quality so we can get some years out of our toys.
I’d like HT to do more than just dip their toes into other lines that aren’t MCU or Star WarsI love Arcane, it’s my second favorite animated TV series behind Avatar: The Last Airbender, and has become a top property for me in general, but I’ll be the weird one who is cool with just having Jinx to represent it all. I welcome one-offs.
Vi is the clear runner up and I’d definitely consider getting her depending on which version they do but she sort of fell off for me in S2. Jinx had an amazing character arc from start to finish, something I didn’t get with Vi. I’m just more of a fan of Powder/Jinx and alt universe Powder lol. I find Jinx, especially because of her striking character design, can stand on its own more than well enough.
And as much as I love the rest of the cast, I personally honestly don’t need them in 1/6 figure form, nor do I think Hot Toys should even do them (just my opinion). I just think they should call it with Jinx and Vi.
Star Wars and MCU stuff is way more “collectible” if that makes sense. Always has been. On that note (based on my perspective), Vi and Jinx are the only characters you’d really need to represent Arcane. They’re the only ones (IMO) that are truly “collectible” where there’d be real market demand.I’d like HT to do more than just dip their toes into other lines that aren’t MCU or Star Wars
I’m aware. But as it stands HT is the one with the license. So fans are going to want more than one figure.Star Wars and MCU stuff is way more “collectible” if that makes sense. Always has been. Imo, Hot Toys (and definitely not any of the other 1/6 makers) isn’t the right company to explore tons of characters for Arcane.
Of course, fans will want more than one figure. Still not collectible enough though. It’s the same thing that happened with the INART Dune license. You had people actually under the impression that INART would make characters like Reverend Mother Jessica lol and expecting the rest of the line. INART probably surveyed the market only to find that there’s no real cost effective demand beyond Paul. Not even Chani, who’s the second main character. With Arcane, imo, I read it as only Jinx and Vi have real market demand. As much as fans want everyone and their mom, they’d probably just not be collectible and cost effective enough for Hot Toys to produce, imo.I’m aware. But as it stands HT is the one with the license. The three (2 that are official) Terminator figures they’re doing are “collectible” and established. There’s a difference. If they can bring Terminator figures back then they can make a couple of Arcane figures. Three or four figures isn’t exactly “tons”.
It's promising since the material feels so different. It's almost like a foamy rubber/silicone. If the material was really bad quality, you probably would have seen some elbow stress points by now. What kind of environment are you keeping your figs in? My stuff is in a temperature controlled, sun free and dust free room. I also have a dehumidifier to keep it around 35-50 humidity in the basement.I just took a look at my pictures, and it looks like I've had She-Hulk posed with her arms bent since November 9th. Yeah but if they don’t make Vi it’s a problem imo. They’re both all over the marketing.Of course, fans will want more than one figure. Still not collectible enough though.
