Was interested but $130 is steep
I thought it was pretty good
as it actually comes with everything including body.
But yeah I know what you mean/nothings cheap in this hobby.
No doubt il have to buy a neck adapter from some obscure place to attach the hot toys headsculpt 😂

I assume so judging how it works on the flash version of Batman. Hopefully it's not an issue swapping them out on this one.

I’d be pretty upset if the movable cowl is magnetic, I figured it was a whole cowl with some type of movable mechanism inside. This was the reason I POed the Deluxe. Really wish I went with the standard.

Just speculation going around and I’d prefer a seamless articulated cowl.
It's definitely not a seamless articulated cowl with the deluxe additional cowl. There would be no need for 2 cowled heads since the static one is already seamless. If that was the case, only one would be needed and the cowl would probably be some sort of silicone.

EDIT:

You can see in this pic the way in which the top of the neck curves into the base of back of the head

Yea that’s something I didn’t expect, especially for the price point for the Deluxe. Personally not a fan of that concept. Spent an extra $60 just for the diorama it looks like.

Magnetic head on a stump neck is how they do these rotatable heads. They've done it countless times on Spiderman figures, and any figure which needs extreme head movement. A pretty good system imo. Really helps to get the exact head placement you need for a pose. Not just rotationally but also to look up or down at the same time.

A flexible cowl would only crease badly under extreme movement. It would also fight against the ball and socket joint and the crease would look pretty unnatural at this scale I imagine.

In any case I'm sure they probably tested that during development.

Fair enough. I guess I wasn’t prepared for the magnetic mechanism but sure it’ll work how it’s intended to. Trying to have him look up and to the left at floating Inart Supes next to him.

Have you owned any of the TDK Batman figures? The heads on those are all magnetic and will work very similarly to this if that helps at all.

I can’t see HT getting into flexible/articulating seamless head+neck system until it’s proven by JND (who are doing it now) and/or InArt who will be working on it for their Bruce Lee, to then rip the idea and potentially improve upon it.

and that type of tech will bump up the prices of hot toys. Remember, this is a mass produced product.

I was never a fan of Bale Batman but that’s another discussion. I get what you mean though.
