Why are you even in here then? Go work for Hot Toys since you have the keenest eye on the planet apparently.

I say that is not about actress age. It's about facial features. I have Luke Skywalker. He is not Mark Hamill, but his face is almost HUMAN. And is a "beautiful" human face.

But this Ripley... I see a strange mouth, strange eyes... I have BW (Winter Soldier) too, and I know that if I put a good light over her head, I will see Scarlett Johansson, but I'm afraid that light won't save my Ripley bad face...

no matter what, the current prototype iteration is EONS better than the first HT Ripley release from 2007. That one only the outfit and accuracy of the accessories sells that one!

(Sorry if my english is bad when I try to explain this...) I love to show how Ripley could be if HT would make a little changes. I hope they will improve. the head sculpt a little bit.

By the way... I HAVE PREORDERED HER. I want this figure. But I saw the second sculpt (2014) and this is what I wanted. Then, I saw Toy Sapiens figure and I thought "Mmm... it's Ok..." But THEN... I saw official pictures and sorry, but... I don't like her... So, I think there are bad official pictures.

I don't understand why you give so much importance. It's only a figure. But I'm asking more quality because it's not SIDESHOW TOY. It's HOT TOYS. If they made the perfect Ripley on 2014, I would like to buy the perfect Ripley on 2016. But I'll wait for new pictures.

HT pictures show an ugly Weaver with small eyes and piranha mouth.

slikkerias is spot on Agromenauer, you'll never going to get an actual miniature ripley with photo realistic sculpt, only close.
I think you'll be pleased in the long run, we are all ALIEN fans and been waiting 2 years for this so lets give it benefit of the doubt .
Like you sad, in the future you could always cancel if you feel the same way but what a nice feeling it is now having this on pre-order!

Now the long wait starts again........Yawn!

I tend to think it really does have to do with the painting and overall lighting. digitally retouching the photos allows you to bend light in anyway you see fit, so you can get it perfect digitally. But unless you could 3D print it afterwards, even still, it will all depend on the hues painted on it. I'm eagerly awaiting mine and if it's that bad in person, I'm sure I could find someone to sculpt a custom head if I was so inclined.

Ok, just something I noticed about reactions to female characters. People call Leia and the new black widow perfect representations - basically because they look 'prettier' than they do in real life. Also this thing about the photoshopped Ripley (fuller lips and Bambi eyes)- you want her more (male) idealized than she actually looks 99% of the time... Sorry, that's not reality that's fantasy.
