Maybe it's the profile that above shot was taken from, but the cheekbones look a bit too wide.

The face should be a little thinner.

Exactly my point. It's like some people can't distinguish between the Ripley they have in their head and the actual screen appearance of Ripley in 1979.

Nope, that's not it. Perhaps the Holland comparison is off-base, but it doesn't look like Ripley to me. I can tell who it's supposed to be, nothing more.

I agree with this as well. Not saying the sculpt is perfect, but also not what people are saying it is.

I hate when ht do these knockout likeness sculpts on figures i dont care about and then they do these meh sculpts on the ones i do. The 1st coming to mind being the john matrix figure. Wonder if they will even do that other ripley figure with the power loader.

I was excited by the possibilities of HT doing this fig after the HT Leia knocked it out of the park, but it hasn't turned out quite good enough for me to jump in. Will still watch the in-hand pics though.

It looks solid overall, but like with Leia, other than the headsculpt, there's not a huge amount else to draw your eye - meaning the likeness on these fairly simple figures needs to be pretty spot-on and have some "wow."

I feel the same... older Han Solo, older Luke, Suicide Squad... perfect likeness. I think HT uses the best sculpters to make the best figures. Ripley, is not the best for HT... I suppose...

I would agree with this. Obviously the comic based licenses, HT has made them their bread and butter lines. Besides how hard is it to sculpt Iron Man suits with damage.... They still probably view these licenses as a niche market despite a lot of evidence contrary.

HT doesn't deliver too many knockout sculpts. Sometimes sculpts of favourite characters seem lesser than they really are because of familiarity or passion.

i just watched A1 and 14 minutes of A2 today, and first sculpt is the worst, second fits A2 and not A1, and third and last looks best of them to date, though mainly because of "baby fat" face.
can't wait to put her next to my schwarzldaten against two aliens.

Modded her second rooted hair headsculpt's eyes onto the current display version. IMO, the hanging eyelids on the second headsculpt made her look for more like Sigourney Weaver than the current sculpt does. Still not there, though.


I cannot figure out why HT would remove the "bedroom eyes"- it's one of Weaver's traits.
Was hoping for a really nice Ripley figure from HT, but I will most likely pass.
