Dallas stuck in the cocoon asking to be killed was even worse then the chestburster scene imo. Although the cocoon scene is only in the directors cut.

I remember my Dad bought me the facehugger boxset that had the extended scenes on video. Watching that scene for the first time really scared the ***** out of me. I'm sketching out some ideas just now. It needs to fit in a Detolf space, so might go for the shot of Ripley walking through the door. Then try my hand at sculpting Dallas in the cocoon.
Are we guaranteed that Ripley will be 12" tall? I fear she might end up like Rey and be slighter shorter than normal.....

Agreed. At least Kane died relatively quickly. The Egg morphing was a slow and horrendous process.

The first time I saw that scene was also in the VHS Facehugger boxset out during the 1990's. It was slightly longer with extra dialogue...the destruct system was not activated, so you don't hear the sirens in the distance, and was blurred a little because it wasn't yet remastered and added into the film for the later Directors Cut. Great scene and very unnerving. I think it was later featured on the Aliens Legacy dvd release, maybe the 20th Anniversary dvd too.
This link shows the original version though the beginning as she descends the later uses clips from both the original and directors cut versions.

I thought the facehugger couldn't be more gross than it already is. Facehugger with disproportionately large scrotum says I was wrong.
Its sorta sad to see how quick the SS , CW and especially WW got out....and poor Ripley takes the longest........

balls bag is the original idea seen in early designs, softened to avoid censorship, you can actually see it on a first picture i posted..
same as eggs which oritinally looked more like wall doors in "Prey" game and less like just an opening vase.

Sculpted hair I think. An early proto had rooted hair but it looks like HT have gone with sculpted hair.
