Absolutely! Between this and Mighty Thor I'm as thrilled as I possibly could be. It's so rare to have had an actor play two roles twenty years apart that bring about action figures to this quality and I'm so glad to add them to my collection at some point in 2024. And Zurdo, the exciting thing with Captain Marvel and potentially Padme now as well with all her potential outfits is there is no end in sight.

Thank you!! It's hilarious that I'm this pumped to spend 270 USD on an action figure...hell, that I've been HOPING to have the opportunity to spend that much on for years but here we are.

The new pictures on display at secret base look fantastic as well. I'm so impressed with it, coming off what I saw in 2019 compared to this, it's like going from black series to a work of art. I was so low after Wave 1 on May 4th this year that I was legitimately talking myself into potentially getting this Gentle Giant atrocity because maybe the head sculpt would come out better after production...

This figure by Hot Toys is by far the best Padme product on the market and it's still so surreal to see it up for preorder and already sitting as the number one best seller on sideshow immediately.

JC Hong and team should be thrilled with what they accomplished on this sculpt, even with some room for improvement. Just a wonderful day that reminds me why i started collecting in the first place.

Yup this was going to be my suggestion at @Chopper Face as well. Kit gets HT now and puts them up for PO. And I believe the way his ships allows customers to not get hit with the import taxes international collectors tend to have to deal with.


As for part outs, have you tried Machine-Gun figures? They're in France I believe so maybe a bit closer and friendlier shipping wise for you? I've ordered from them before as well even though I'm in the US. Never had an issue ordering parts from them: MACHINEGUN - Figurines et Accessoires 1/6

I honestly don't know the shipping/import system for you guys though, so I apologize if neither of those options are as helpful as I'm thinking they would be.

I used to use Machine Gun, Monkey Depot and plenty of Europe based sellers before Brexit. Now, anything not based on this ignorant little island is charged too excessively to be justifiable.

I just paid both in kghobby. But kit would be just as good i think. Sometimes i order with one or the other.

Does Kit get his HT stock in quickly though? He and KG are very good for third party figures but KG seem to be 6 months behind Sideshow on average now for all HT releases.
That’s the passion-killer I’m trying to avoid.
The standard HT delays are bad enough without piling on an additional half a year.

I rarely buy Hot toys figures at all so i dont know. But both are the most inexpensive options as the figures cost like 50- 100 more each in europe for me normally and still slower than asia. But i have time

I love the reveal and all the conversation about it. Love it or hate it, AOTC has some really iconic designs. I'm going to go in fully on the TPM, AOTC, and ROTS lines. I think I'm only missing Dark Side Anakin right now, so hoping for a 2.0.

I can't wait to see what other releases they come up with. I fully believe Padme Arena version is coming. HT loves to recycle releases and get their money out of their sculpts.

When do we guess to see Mace and Super BD? Next week, or is that too soon?

Pretty blown away by this and Anakin. Wonder if they’ll recycle this for a comic con exclusive and do a battle damaged version.

Maybe this week, but I think they might have an Avatar reveal on Friday then back to Marvel and Star Wars.

Well I caved and ordered this at Alterego since I had a bunch of reward points there. The likeness is still only about 80% there for me, but there are certain angles (like the one below) where it gets a lot higher. And ultimately the overall figure just looks way too nice not to have in the collection.

Plus I'm just a huge sucker for any SW figure with a poncho.

When we look at the degree of likeness of Anakin and Padme, Anakin is at his own league and shows HT is capable of producing such good headsculpts. And as collectors, we don't backlash at HT for Padme, instead we are content with it. So, why should HT bother to give us a better HS?

We can say "Well, it's not perfect, but it's the only option now. So, I'll buy it" once a figure is released, but at this stage we should ask for better before it's too late. But instead we're in "better than nothing" mood. So, we deserve what HT throws at us.

Well the vast majority of people seem to love the sculpt, so I don't see what holding out is going to do for me since HT will have no motivation to change it.

I think it's a good headsculpt, nothing to backlash about.

I do as well. I also am constantly reminded by looking around at my collection that these are 1 to 1.5 inch tall head sculpts that look absolutely phenomenal in-hand and the photos that we criticize are greatly magnified and sometimes distorted. Bo Katan is the latest that fell victim to that. There's no holding out for me on Padme, I think it'll look amazing.

Immediate preorder for me! I'm just a little bummed that they chose to update the head sculpt... it looks fantastic, but like others have pointed out, it's more of a representation of a late 20s to early 30s Natalie Portman.

Personally, I much preferred the softer features in the 2019 Padme sculpt. Thought that better reflected Portman in AotC.

Can’t say for sure obviously but did they stop any new figures during their Black Friday sales? Of course, we all know they have slowed down outside of that. They moved warehouse earlier in the year as well and there was a grinding halt with releases during that. They have sent my two James Bond third party figures but no HT since Luke and Cable.

I have 15+ active PO with KGH, eight (nine with Hunter) have been released so far in HK (three of those out this summer) and i have yet to get an invoice. Those delays are getting out of hand. No more PO from KGH until i get at least half of my orders fulfilled.
