It's clear hot toys have started cutting quantities.

I think partially market, but also a lot of ahem new star wars and marvel didn't sell. No one wants Disney Wars or post Infinity War Marvel.

All I see are Spiders and Iron mans selling, no one else moves units.

No one bought those, Hot toys reacted by now cutting quantities and now the stuff we do want are now limited.

Although Chewie’s head is much improved… he still reminds me of a brown Lorax.

Still too much hair in the mustache area, leading to the puffed out, hound dog appearance of the TFA Chewie (but to a lesser degree here).

Hot Toys does not realize that the costume Chewbacca mask had a flesh colored face underneath all that hair, and the mustache area was almost wispy, the hair actually looks pretty thin in pictures, just very long.

But since HT uses black plastic for the surface of the head, it has to cram as many hairs as possible in every centimeter to compensate.

I think it looks quite good here - it's definitely got a more open mouth than the ANH version and the positioning of the nose looks better here too. It'll be interesting to see shots from the side to see if they've improved on the shape of his snout. More pics will be needed but I think this might be a fair improvement over the previous HT Chewies!

Been waiting for a Chewie update. Have held off buying hoping for this.

I think as long as the hair colour is right, a lot of how he looks will come down to how you "settle" and work the hair down so it not all over the place.

So Im pretty happy with this and will be buying.

This looks great, best Chewie yet. I do hope they make Black Krrrsantan eventually. With Aphra’s two droids, he’d go with them and BoBF displays.

So awesome. I’ve been wanting this version of Chewie in particular but also just an updated version to the ANH figure. I know the TFA one was made to but this one is far more preferable to me. Absolute day one pre-order.

Yeah the face isn't quite right, but I'm still thrilled this is being made. And he at least looks better than the laughable TFA version.
