1/6 Hot Toys - Infinity War- Rocket and Groot set

Just opened my rocket and groot 2 pack.
Groot was really stiff out the box, his right arm wouldn’t bend at the elbow at all and I couldn’t raise his arms much at the shoulders. His right leg was also very stiff and had limited movement.

After spending some time today I have managed to loosen up all the joints just by gently working them back and forth and spinning them around and now he seems fine.

I’m really happy with them, they look really cool together

I love this pair. It’s a shame about so many of the Groots breaking or arriving broken. I was also a fortunate one that got him in tact. Low stock remaining in Sideshow.

Anyone think maybe Sideshow is throwing "Low Stock" on stuff to get it moving? Considering End Game Rocket has a different look and is soon to be up for pre-order, I feel like I should hold off...

"Sideshow toys is a lot of things, but a liar is not one of them....." I don't think they would do that, never seen anything go low stock then sit around forever. Most sell out in a couple days.

Yeah they wouldn’t do that. It’s all because of the EG hype people are buying whatever figures they can right now.

Found a Groot. Just noticed Deluxe Rocket price went up alot for a small figure. Wonder how Groot will look in GOTG3.

Thank you and we don't have kids but it's still a very relatable character because we were all there once.

Man. You take awesome photographs. By reading people having the legs pop right out of the box, I would be afraid to pose it that way.

I bought mine second hand and the seller was nice enough to send a video of him going through the leg joints. It's hit or miss and even when I posted my want ad for one a friend texted me immediately telling me about the issues to look out for so thankfully I was aware when the seller messaged me to ask if it had the issues.

My replacement figure broke even, lol. But the way he's built you really can just pose everything the way you need and then tuck the leg into the body and all is well. Great shots again, TJ!

Got a waitlist conversion for the two pack, but I'm still on the fence with so many teen groot issues. how are your guys' holding up so far? I'd like to add these to the collection, just don't feel like going back and forth with sideshow for replacements. If there even are any at this point...

When I got my 2 pack I checked my groot late at night after a tough day and found the legs and one arm would not move. It felt like any more force would brake it. I returned to it the next morning and found that by gently rotating the legs arms first that seemed to free them up and I could then move them in any direction. Just take you time with it and if it won’t move in the direction you want try gentle turning it in a different direction first, hopefully that will loosen it up.
