Thanks for the quick shots @xgaryho :duff
Probably more a factor of female figures having more slender arms than a case of silicone/non-silicone. I mean look at the stress at the elbow even at just 90 degrees 😬

Ahsoka’s arms also stopped at 90, but the silicone didn’t even reach the elbows.
Interesting. I would think the skinnier the arms, the more range of motion and not the other way around. When you look at how massive the biceps are on Hono Wolverine, you'd think they'd impede articulation more than the skinnier arms here.

I don't have the latest '84 or WB100 Wonder Woman figures, but I could've sworn she had more than 90degree elbow articulation and those two bodies are also silicone.

As far as Ahsoka goes, I think that cut of the arm and continuing with standard plastic below the elbow is what's impeding the articulation actually. Since they don't have the thinner metal armature running the entire length of the arm inside the fully encapsulated silicone that would normally allow for more space for the silicone to compress against, they have the standard sized plastic arm getting the the way. That's my theory at least 😅
Visually it looks like this sculpt was made first for Mighty Thor and modeled after the more adult Natalie but just took longer to release, and then retroactively used for HT Padme for the moving eyes even though she should have looked younger. If it is the exact same sculpt, the paint work in Mighty Thor's headsculpt makes it look more like Natalie to me.
That's exaclty what they did.

Hairline looks good and blends better here.

Sideshow’s kinda falling behind on these “First Look” videos. Maybe they don’t feel the rush for something they’ve already sold out of?

Yes I noticed that. They're usually fairly quick, haven't seen their first looks of Iron Man Mark VI 2.0 or She-Hulk yet. Come to think of it Justin kind of falling back also. Heck Jedha hasn't reviewed Spider-Man red and blue, Anakin, Shuri, or this yet. I tend to like Jedha's, because the lighting is the most ideal. Maybe too many releases in a short time span? Reagan I believe has stayed current.

Yeah it’s been a heavy wave of releases, hard to get caught up if a person’s busy and can’t stay on top of it. Reagan teased his She-Hulk and Nyteri but hasn’t posted either full review yet and I don’t believe he picked up the VI.

That sculpted hair on the unhelmeted looks truly awful. Looks better on the helmeted, it sits on the chest armor better, but I guess the second you turn the head you will get floaty hair. So the movable eyes would help alleviate that.

Another figure that makes me sad that the sculpted hair voices won out at HT (outside of the artisan releases). Rooted hair requires more effort to maintain/pose properly but looks so much better than these floating plastic blobs that only work for one (forward-looking) pose.

agree. same with the Wanda from Wandavision. the cape has a hoodie but it can't be pulled up at all because of the sculpted hair.

I have a love/hate relationship with that figure. Love the costume (without the cape) but hate the sculpted hair piece and how terrible it looks when posing her head (I don't even mind the shoulder seams). Still undecided between selling it or modding it with a wig/rooted hair.

I feel exactly the same way. I tried taking a few photos and they all looked !%#* because of the hair. I want to get rid of that one lol.
