Wait for Neca's real Hulk and pay $85.00-$125.00.
I can't wait to see NECAs 1/4 and even before seeing it would totally recommend it just by looking at NECAs recent 1/4 offerings, but this Hot Toys hulk is also going to rock.
You can still pick up the Hulk from SSC and although you don't get the $20 discount up front at least you get some reward points for it to use later against something else, a future EX release for instance.
While NECA's Hulk, which still isn't for certain, will be about the same size and undoubtedly impressive for what you get for the price, there will never be a Hulk figure as detailed in paint and sculpt as this HT, this will be the centerpiece of every Hulk collector's figure collections.
Also, the Hot Toys figure will feel like a quality piece, and not cheap junk. . .not that NECA is cheap junk, but, y'know, I'm pretty sure that the Hot Toys figure definitely won't be that and I wouldn't speculate about, um. . .so, there's that.

I just get the impression that there is this odd NECA vrs Hot Toys mentality and I am bit puzzled by it.

And you live in the middle of da pacific, I hope it floats.
For many of us talking about both, it is because our buying doesn't stop with a brand, we are Hulk collectors excited for both companies taking on the green behemoth, but rightly so, we are also taken back by how a Hot Toys figure can often feel overpriced for what you get, where NECA seems to come through with more than what ya pay for. It's just a fun time to be a collector of Hulk figures, we've not had many great offerings, especially based on the movie Hulks, and now with Avengers we're seeing a lot of great Hulk merchandise.

I can't shake the feeling though of being bummed out that we'll never see a TIH Hulk figure from anyone. 
Don't get me wrong, I love the Avengers Hulk, but I just may like the look of the TIH Hulk a tad bit more.
But now that Avengers Hulk connected, no chance of TIH being released.

I really like both, and I'm excited that we at least have so many good Avengers Hulk figures to buy, but I am also dissappointed that there's never been and likely never will be an accurrat TIH figure or statue and what may have been the only hope for a Ferrigno Hulk has been blown so Avengers is it.

It has been, I've bought so many Avengers Hulks just because I've wanted accurrate movie Hulk stuff since Ang Hulk and now that I've got it I capitalized. I've got 3 from Hasbro, NECA bobble head, Marvel Select, this on order and anticipating NECA Hulk.
