totaldominasian isn't that smart. yes your elbow has folds - when your arms are straight. hulk's arms aren't anywhere close to straight nor can they be made to go straight out. They will always be semi-bent, and you would not have wrinkles on your elbows. I still stand behind my assertion that the elbows are tearing in those pics, until I am proven wrong, not by assumptions but by proof.

and comparing those pics of the head, man his eyes are REALLY off.

I'll tell you what though...totaldominasian is a damned site smarter than anyone that seriously believes that a company like HT would put up pictures that are intended to make you want to buy the figure in question, where that figure is broken or damaged an any way.

Example....

"Right, I am assembling this figure. Now I have a left arm and that's fine. Strange, I have two right arms to use, one of them is OK, but one is broken....now then, which to use...which to use? I know I'll leave the good one in the box and use the broken one, because that's going to work just fine!"

I mean, to do that...just how stupid would you need to be? About as much as anyone who thinks that this is what's actually happened.

Agreed, even with the price being a bit lower than anticipated just not worth buying if its rubber. You also have the problem of paint cracking on PVC if its pliable and discoloration being a different material.

exactly... unless the price is peanuts (which would mean no quality anyway) or you're filthy rich which means you probably won't need to read these forums as you get boxes of each figure early, it will hurt when the rubber cracks/tears or paint rubs etc...

in my personal experience... no matter the grail piece (and i take very good care of my figures, well the expensive ones anyhow) when it breaks down, in the end i just wish i never bought it cause it feels like a waste of money (its not the same anymore...) so i'm now more careful in buying rubber toys (there's a joke in there somewhere...)

many of you guys/gals are accepting these crazy prices so Hot Toys does not have any reasons to stop increasing them. i love hulk but my ass hurts too much from Hot Toys f---ing me with these prices. it sucks to pass hulk up but i have to draw the line somewhere with these crazy prices. good luck to all of you that are purchasing him as far as any QC issues go.

What's the material they used on Dutch? Has anybody had a problem with that figures body at all? I just ask because I know that was Hot Toys feeble attempt to rectify their past muscle body probs.

tbh ht (or rather plastic enemies with ht's permission of course) did show a dx12 with cracked armor and joker dx11 with bad pers so idk... or the old dark knight body for their dx02 promo
i am sure those pictures were used to promote the figure too...

just saying ht doesnt get it right all the time though. these are just for promos anyway. their end product usually is much better.

What HT needs is another company to come along and give them a run for their money. And challenge them with lower prices. Until then HT will continue to raise their prices.

Not to mention what a pain in the it is to remove dust from rubber... It gets stuck and best way to remove it is also the best way to mess up the color...

haha at least she allows me to get those i really really want.. well top 3 from a huge list... and she's usually right, in the end i can live without buying too many.

it is a mutha to clean...

And when Star Wars figures were $2.99? Yeah. Good times.

Ten years from now we will be saying "I remember when a HT Hulk was $300! Thats nothing now! Blah blah blah".

Price increases over time are something that we all live with, but it isn't usually that noticeable over time. Hot Toys increase between the Mark VI to the new Mark VII from $215 to $250 in such a small amount of time is a good example of this. It's pretty obvious that they're trying to get away with prices that a lot of collectors are going to see as unreasonable and when collectors question it, a lot of the newer guys who haven't been around that long put them down. I'm not saying you're doing that, but it happens a lot here.

I agree. It's happened before. I'm not 100% convinced it's just an elbow wrinkle either. Would have to see better images of both elbows to confirm it.

There are none. It texturing to the elbow that is being mistaken for tears. It's a total non-issue.

Beaten by 30 seconds!!!! Still from that it is clearly visible to the naked eye that there is no strain on the rubber, it is not being forced to a point and the 'cracks' do not look anything like they did on the king from 300 or any of the the other horrid photos shown over various threads.

she did get me my grail piece the TF Batman which made me scream like a little boy who's just seen santa on christmas!
