When you had him stored in the box did you still have the silicone bead pack that comes with the figure? It helps keep the moisture out.

Yeah, he was packed up with the silicone pack. I also have a silicone pack in with the actual display. Hulk is smelling and feeling better today, than when I previously opened him up a few days ago. Hopefully this figure will hold up over the years without deterioration. He's a figure that always makes me smile!

Gotcha. That is a strange phenomenon. Hope he stays like new for ya. Love my AOU Hulk. Same feeling when I see it.

No problem with mine but I always kept him out of package and we’ll ventilated.. but the positive is the skin is a soft PVC so it shouldn’t deteriorate

No issues with mine. Other than he takes up a lot of space in my Besta but I really don’t want to move him out of my Marvel case 😂

No problem with smell or tackiness on mine... but what has happened are the leg joints, the ratcheted leg joints, are becoming incredibly loose. The reason I find that odd, is that I basically put him in the below pose (cause it was the only way he'd fit the shelf), and I haven't really changed it since. He stands find, holds the pose fine, but as soon as I pick him up, his legs straighten right out...

I'm trying to sell this figure, and took him out of the detolf for a couple pics. I noticed his arms leave a rubbery smell on my fingers. I have barely touched him since I first got him years ago. Is anyone else's Hulk like this? Visually nothing is wrong, but the arms feel almost tacky like the skin on a Phicen figure, and I don't remember them being like that originally.

Maybe being cooped up in a detolf is what's causing the issue over time. Might leave him out and see if anything changes. Saying the arms smell is preventing a sale I'm sure.

Edit: took the figure to air it out and I noticed that while there is a rubber smell on my fingers after touching, the figure itself has no smell. All this time I thought it did but it doesn't.

I've got one for sale in the Commerce section if anyone is having a hard time tracking one down at a good price. I need funds for new stuff coming in.

My son and I both keep ours out for display and have no problems at all. I did a Gladiator Hulk Head swap. I sold his ripped pants because I had seen the the snap can scratch the body.

Speaking of scratch what do you guys think a person would do to try and fix this small scratch, or is it better to do nothing at all? It was this way new out of the box years ago, it's not any bigger these years later and its on his back, so would you just leave it alone?

I would probably just leave it. It look like a cut more than a scratch. You would have to fill it and color match it. If you have the skills, a fix wouldn't be that hard. If not, then you could make it worse. Like you said, since it's on the back it not that noticeable. You've lived with it this long and its not getting bigger. So live with it seems the best course of action.

I had seen people getting scratches on neck under the chin from turn the head. So I did a little dremeling to widen under the head to prevent that. Just FYI.

Yeah, I would probably make it worse, thanks, sometimes my ocd flares up and I need the calming voice of another. :panic:

I feel ya brother. It's like when I touched the top of a lemon meringue pie topping. I tried to spread the meringue to cover my touching it and all I did was make it worse. Who knew that once it drys you could not re-spread it? Oh, Me now. All I did was make the hole bigger and more noticeable. Live and learn

If it were mine, I’d try to surgically apply some some rubber cement or epoxy with a pin. Just a tiny amount to close up the cut, and wipe away any excess.
