found a comic book store that sells hot toys and he said they're waiting on a few to come in of the deluxe.

I don't want to call every day but he said they should be getting them when "they're released". is there a street date for this?

So why didn’t you get it from there . Save money on shipping if you can pick it up

Keep calling him or see if they can put a hold on one for you. If he gets annoyed that you’re calling in an effort to spend money in his store, I’d shop elsewhere anyways.

I remember the days when hunting toys was going through the phone book and calling the toy stores every few days. On a phone with a cord. Glorious.

the worst part is im sitting here with a ton of regret because I had gone to the store maybe 2-3 weeks ago and purchased a Diecast mark 3 because I was on the hunt for iron man. I saw they had the non deluxe tech suit and went with the iron man instead because thats what I originally wanted.

now yesterday I woke up wanting the tech suit, called the store today and it was sold. all he had left was the homemade suit

No..the Comic book store usually orders from a big distributor like Diamond Comics, then that Distributor gets the orders from SSC . From there , the distributor finds out which LCS placed orders and then they ship out what was ordered from the LCS. And the shipment gets sent to the LCS with their comic shipment.

We have no way of knowing. There are no street dates for something like this. Just a general time frame of arrival, if that.

Sideshow distributes them in the US and I imagine their priority right now is split between their customers, their biggest vendors, and then everyone else last.

It's complicated by the fact that the distribution on this figure has been particularly strained it seems.

What if you went down to your LCS and offered to pay in full for one in advance? That way you don't have to stress about it. Put it on a credit card, get a receipt, be protected.

Ask your LCS if they even ordered any for their store. Bare in mind, the more they order for their store from the distributor , the less they get of a discount because HT are special order products unless your LCS heavily sells HT figures. Which most avoid, unless they have a huge inventory.

Most businesses make imported figures special order. Meaning the customer orders it directly from the store and usually requires a deposit beforehand depending. It’s their insurance in case the customer changes their mind. They keep the deposit.

Sucks I know, that’s why it’s nice to have a good repor with the LCS

when i spoke to the owner he said he had a few coming in. he also has a large inventory of hot toys.

he had the non deluxe one at least a month ago so he’s probably on good terms with wherever he gets them from.

i could prob pay up front. i’m just weird. i had the impulse yesterday was excited for them to have it today but it was sold. i was looking forward to making the long drive out and collecting it lol

I would never buy HT from my LCS even if he carried them. The guy leaves everything in the front window, including most of his figure and statue stock. It's all bleaching and getting sun damage. That's not the establishment I trust with a product this expensive.

Real quick shot before i go pass out for the night. I got mine today and have been playing around with it and put together peter with all the extras. I think they changed the plastic on the stand so it's not stuck under the pole like some people were complaining about.

Yep same body and good eye on the boots. I do want to change them out for something else but they work for now.
