Can anyone who has this tell if the black bits on the suit are stitched in or glued on?

Not stitched. I’d say either embossed or sublimation printed.

I guess I won’t be peeling that off. Have to wait for it to naturally deteriorate.

For those who can’t find a preorder, I’d suggest getting iron spider since he is probably pretty unique. And while I can’t guarantee it, it stands to good reason we will see the same suit in Homecoming 2, so possible hot toys redo.

Of course if you want it that bad try eBay. But if you’re on a tight budget and can’t find a affordable one, just save up til next June or July. And order it then.

This figure looks sick, but I didn’t get a preorder in so I’ll probably just wait and hope for a similar suit myself. That popcultca link is also a good idea, I probably honestly would have done that if I didn’t just order myself a civil war War Machine.


Just with the popularity of the new franchise and a sequel imminent, don’t feel too bad on yourself if you can help it.

I would be very surprised if they use the same suit for a third film. It’s already been in Civil war and homecoming.

But I wouldn’t be surprised if it shows up.

That’s true. It seems there has been a bit of a change in Hollywood in fast they swap these suits out. And I’m sure they wouldn’t just show up with a new suit but be some dialogue or reason so it may make a quick appearance. But it would be pretty unusual for a suit to be used through three or four movies. I mean it showed up in IW too. So that’s a lot of miles on one suit. It’s already one of the longest running looks in the MCU and the others are like Vision, and Spider-Man got his own franchise.

True. And if Disney has sole control I would think it much likey to stay the same.

And again doesn’t guarantee a similar figure, but even if it does change, it still might make a appearance. Tech based superheroes are always looking for modifications and upgrade.

Every Spidey Figure so far from HT has had a seam on top of the head. Some were hidden a bit more by silver webbing but they all have to have a seam if they use fabric.

All of the heads underneath have a channel running the length of the seam so it does not look raised. Pretty ingenious way to hide it. Some look better than others but there is no way around it. Mine isn’t perfect but I’m fine with it.

I’m just grateful I got the deluxe at retail.

He did wear it for a few minutes in IW before the Iron Spider suit, didn't he? That would already be 3 films.

Only reason why I havent pulled the trigger on this figure. I know that seam would bug the crap out of me.
Which is why I'm more interested in getting the IW spidey, but also reluctant cause Homecoming spidey looks more like
the iconic version.

I dont understand why they didnt have the seam at the back of the head.

I also will be waiting for a costume redo. While this has grown on me, there all still aspects of the design I don't like. I still prefer the ASM2 costume which I have, so I'm fine with that for now. Spidey is one of my top 5 Marvel characters, but 1 version in the collection will suffice.

I always enjoy looking at all the great photos everyone posts. A close friend of mine will be getting this and the IW Iron Spidey so I at least get to see these in person.

I'll probably regret not buying this at some point, as I usually do. Can't have everything I want. Where's the fun in that?
