Just Han for me too at this point. I wouldn't mind getting Chewie but I already have the first release

My sentiments as well.

I'm passing on Chewie and just getting Han, being that I already have the ANH Chewie. As good as TFA looks, unless one is a die hard Chewie fan, only one representation of him is required to me and being that the majority of my SW collection revolves around the ANH line, I'll stick with that version. Chewie is Chewie to me and if you have one of them, you have them all. Other characters like this are C-3PO, R2-D2 and to an extent, even Vader.

So this must be coming out soon. Those "thank you"'s to the creation team have typically been posted after a figure release if I'm not correct.

Does look like they have the box ready. Gotta be pretty damn close.

1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Star Wars: Episode VII - Han & Chewbacca Collectible Figure

Han is looking great. Looking forward to him . I want it to release already. Chewie looks really good as well. He's waitlisted at Sideshow but I recently got the ANH version. Partly because this one is on waitlist. I'd like this TFA version as well, but I might have to wait for another one down the line if I want a second Chewie.

I see TFA Threepio in one of the Han photos too. I need that one to be announced already.

Sad thing is I bet ssc shipments don't go out until early april.

Chewie's fur coloring looked different enough in TFA to warrant a new figure. I wasn't particularly fond of the orange coloring but if I were to get TFA Han, I would have to get TFA Chewie as well.

Got the confirmation from Toy Sapiens that Chewie TFA is in stock at this moment and they are shipping them in Japan.
Unfortunately, I only pre-ordered Han so I will have to wait a little while for him.

Got the confirmation from Toy Sapiens that Chewie TFA is in stock at this moment and they are shipping them in Japan.
Unfortunately, I only pre-ordered Han so I will have to wait a little while for him.

Maybe tonight we will get final product pics.

It's Chinese New Year this week in China and Hong Kong as well, so we might get some news from them from next week may be :/

Yes!

Can't wait. Honestly I would be happy with either (ANH or TFA)...but I like the fur and the weathering of the weapons and bandolier of the TFA. Man I can't wait.

I got the Sideshow news email yesterday, and the headline was Iron Man, Daredevil, Han & Chewie! The Joker NOW Shipping.

They even used the exclamation point for Han and Chewie and only Han and Chewie! I was sure we were talking TFA! But it was only the same crappy (not really crappy, but you know what I mean) ANH versions that everyone who cares has had in their collection forever.

And why (oh why) won't they STOP using those awful Han prototype pics to market the figure? Just snap an iphone pic of it and use that if you won't pay new photographers! That Han proto is a horror. If i'm looking for a Han and just got on the SS distribution list, that pic would do the opposite of making me want to buy.

Now I'm sad.

According to the answer I got from them, Chewbacca TFA was released on the 30th of January.
I order every Hot Toys figures to them, and I can assure you that they never mess up on release dates.
This time I only pre-ordered Han Solo and not Chewie, so can't tell you that I have it in hands unfortunately.

Chewbacca is also displayed in the "New in-stock" thread on the main page.

Lol. Well they've certainly messed it up this time. Hot Toys would have announced it on Facebook. And Budget Stark would have released a video of it on display at Secret Base. And Hong Kong eBayers would have it up for sale.

It hasn't been released yet.
